Week 1 Waivers (1 Viewer)

going to go against the crowd here...I kind of hope somebody shoots all their bullets on Cohen....it was one game and now defenses won't be surprised and be will game plan the check downs...I rank the Bears pretty much right behind the Jets for teams I really want no part of having to put in their players in my lineup....I think I would always end up going a different direction....
+1

I drafted Cohen in my Dynasty league so I was encouraged by what happened yesterday. That said, I think some folks are overreacting to one game and the hype may be a little out of control at this point. If other owners want to blow their FAAB wad on him in the re-draft leagues I don't own him, I am fine with that. Bears are @TB, PIT,@GB, MIN, @BAL, CAR in the next 6 games. Not real friendly. I could certainly be proven wrong, but I have a feeling owners who spend all their $ on him this week will regret it. I mean, if an owner didn't see enough in him to actually draft him but then is going to drop 100% on him off of one game, what is that person going to do if he has a meh (or bad) game next week?

I think so. If you're a Miller owner, I would definitely be looking at Foreman
Not a Miller owner, as I actually passed on him at a point in the draft that he had already fallen a bit too far (at least according to ADP).   I just liked Foreman as a late stash.   I liked him as a runner, despite some of the common criticisms of his style, and obviously am intrigued by his size/speed.   He also surprised me catching the ball in preseason, along with a few splash plays.

i dunno. Ervin looked real good in preseason action last yr, then just got buried on the depth chart the rest of the season. yesterday, they seemed to be looking to give him a shot over Foreman, so i hope D'Onta donta getta the sama treatament thisa yr. OBrien's appearing more&more to be one of those BB disciples who were in charge of the more linear (grunt) aspects of assisting than the algorithmic (smaaaaht) realm.

With Palmer not looking so good, any chance Arians reevaluates and turns Ellington into a high(er)-volume, check down, satellite back? He was supposed to transition into a WR after all.

Arians is certainly one of the few coaches creative enough to adjust his offense, and Ellington knows the system.

Who is the Cardinal RB to target? Williams? Ellington has let too many people down too many times.

What type of value are you guys placing here?

A  D. Johnson owner is going to spend about 50% of their budget on Williams IMO.  I wouldn't but someone in each league will.

With it looking like Johnson missing time, what about JJ Nelson? Had a decent game yesterday with decent looks and now the short passing game should ramp up. Thoughts?

Williams will be the guy. I wouldn't touch Ellington, especially once the Cardinals resign Chris Johnson which they will surely do. Williams should be a good play because even with Ellington and possibly Johnson, Williams will still be the main guy.

If Cohen is available I'd go with him over Kerwynn, but have Kerwynn about equally ranked with Hurns for the #2 spot-it all depends on your biggest need.

Golladay....probably should have been a late round grab in most leagues already if you watched the way he uses his body and goes and gets the ball.....IMO he is a true "i'll throw it to you even if you are covered" type guy....Stafford will take those chances and Golladay can bail him out...I think he is one of Stafford's first looks in the red zone all year....would take him ahead of both Cohen and Aghlor...
I think he is a double digit TD guy in Detroits offense, in TDs league he will be a good WR3 in fantasy as he is better than a 50% chance at a score with the jump balls he will receive. One or two jump balls a game, at least.

Not getting any shares of Golladay this draft season is a true regret.

I like Cohen, & K.Williams... but not for the price he will be going for.

D.Foreman could be a stud if given the opportunity. Tolbert could be useful in standard scoring leagues.

I'm going after Agholar in every league he's available.

RB needy. Non FAAB waivers. Thinking ..

Cohen

Buck Allen

Chris Carson ( I'm a Rawls owner )

Kerwynn Williams

in that order.

Like the call of a Tolbert above for non ppr. He could be the Gillislee/Williams of this year and Shady might get run until the wheels fall off

Tyler Ervin was more involved in Houston than Foreman.

Ervin was an attempt to get any semblance of offense. Blue will be back soon and is more of the roadblock for Foreman.

As a Texans fan, I hope Blue never gets a carry again, but BOB is notoriously stubborn. Foreman gets his chance in the 2nd half of the year but is at best 50/50 with Miller this year.

Didn't watch the game, but this concerns me as a Howard owner. Dropping a GW TD is a good way to lose passing down looks.

To keep with the theme of the thread though, what about Nelson Agholor? He seemed to get a ton of looks from Wentz.
He didn't drop a game winner, it wasn't in the endzone and he wouldn't have been able to run it in from where he would have caught it.

He quite literally dropped it on the 1 yard line, with only a d-back to truck as he attempted to score (5:10).  It he couldn't run that in from there, even more reason for Cohen to play on obvious passing downs.

What do you guys think of Jesse James if you need a TE? Hooper was drafted in my league.

I had the guy in Houston that starts with F starting and he has concussion problems.

Hit or miss.  Too many good options that weren't used on Sunday.  He'll have a few good games, but I wouldn't think it will be anything regular -- keep in mind McDonald only played a handful of snaps after being on the team for about a week.

I'd actually look at Clay or Zach Miller if they are available since McDonald could begin to vulture himself into James's numbers.

Yeah it was at the 1 but he was hit instantly on a ball he had to spin back around to catch.  Its not like he was wide open and dropped it.  Even with a catch there its not a walk into the endzone when you're facing the wrong way and someone is already on top of you.

I'm on board with Cohen and will make a WW bid for him but I wonder if Alvin Kamara may be a better option.

Saints are generally terrible on the road (pretty sure Chi will be too) but he led the Saints in snaps (31), Ingram only came close (26) due to a bunch of garbage time plays. AP only had nine snaps. Kamara may be the #1b in New Orleans right now and the Saints, bad as they can be in the road, have a much more potent offense. Kamara also has the size to run up the gut and put up with the NFL grind.

Cohen is a pinball with sick moves but I'm not sure he should be the top back to Target this week.

I lost Robinson but will avoid Hurns and Lee. This Jax team is building around the run not the pass.

Golladay or Hurns? I prefer Hurns in a redraft.
I lost ARob also and would take Golladay in a heartbeat of Hurns or Lee. If Golladay is available in your league there are probably a number of other WR's I'd also choose over Hurns/Lee. I.E Nelson Agholor, Richardson, Kearse, Kupp etc.

Until Howard dropped the game-winning TD and Cohen replaced him on the final play of the game.

Led the league with 8 drops (most amongst RBs) in 2016 including an egregious drop inside    the 5 v. the Titans when he could have walked in. I did watch the game Sunday & it was the same Pop Warner level mistake of turning to run before he secured the catch. He was inches away from the GL, even with the DB on him he could have clipped the pylon as his momentum carried him out (not like he got stood up - by no means an easy play but we've seen players do it 100s of times.) He's given them every reason to not trust him on passing downs.

Ebron was a complete dud.  I was hoping he would be a great late round TE but he just looks like more of the same.  Thinking I should drop him for Charles Clay.  Clay was targeted 9 times.
He also went against AZ.  AZ is one of the top Defenses against TE.

Saints were trailing big in the second half. That's why you saw more kamara.  Do yourself a favor.  Don't get invested in the saints rbs

Forgot about him.  Staying away from arz RB situation.

Still trying to make sure I want to burn a high priority on these but I think I am
You can stay away, I'm going for Williams. Cohen I'm not as big on in standard. We know who buck Allen is... Terrible. Carson would be my second choice but that back field is a mess and the line is beyond bad.

Allen might be ok for a few weeks.  I just see a huge committee of crap in arz

I don't think we know much about Buck Allen, certainly not enough to draw your conclusion.
