Ebron was also very inconsistent and not worth playing most weeks last year. I'm strongly considering picking up Clay as there really are not that many receiving option in Buffalo. He also went against AZ. AZ is one of the top Defenses against TE.
2 years agoWasn't it last year where buck was the only healthy back on the Ravens and fell flat on his face or am remembering wrong?
Not last year.Wasn't it last year where buck was the only healthy back on the Ravens and fell flat on his face or am remembering wrong?
Yes, Cohen, White, Stewart, Allen, WIlliams, Carson. Wr's are fickle and can be one week wonders more so than RB's which you are woefully short on.Having a hard time deciding.... I generally start 1RB and 3 WR's with 4 bench PPR (QRWTFFKD)
I only have Zeke and Mixon at RB.
WR - obj/cooper/fitzgerald/tate/watkins
Do I claim James White, Cohen, Carson, Stewart, Allen, Williams
or go after a better WR option like Cobb (likely won't get in waiver priority) Corey Davis,Corey Coleman
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush..... it's a fair question but I want Golladay on all my teams. imo- I pounce. Thielen also looked good. Kerwyn Williams...I lost Allen Robinson as my 3rd WR.. I have Ted Ginn to fill in.. 2nd waiver claim this week.. if #1 get used, I'll be #1 until I use it.. I'm torn between putting in a waiver for either Cohen or Golladay or waiting and hoping nobody puts in a claim for Agholor.. The question is, is the #1 waiver claim moving forward more valuable than Golladay?
Same question in full PPR for Cohen. How high are we going on Agholor? I'm thinking at least 50%
WowHow high are we going on Agholor? I'm thinking at least 50%
My thoughts: Former 1st rounder hitting year 3 in a high volume offense. As discussed before it appears the Eagles have a plan for him, and possibly traded away Matthews bc of this. If he even comes close to his draft-day expectations 50% will be a bargain.
Not sure if you meant the bolded as an argument for spending big to pick him up or not, but the fact that he's an FA in a dynasty league that includes an Iggles fan speaks to what he's accomplished so far in his career, IMO. He was (presumably) free for the taking before Sunday's game and no one wanted any. I would need to see more before spending 50% but I don't disagree with your initial thoughts above. My thoughts: Former 1st rounder hitting year 3 in a high volume offense. You could say the same about every player available on waivers. Not sure if you meant the bolded as an argument for spending big to pick him up or not, but the fact that he's an FA in a dynasty league that includes an Iggles fan speaks to what he's accomplished so far in his career, IMO. BTW, one of the best avi's going![]()
Point taken, but he was dropped at the end of last year and we have a freeze during the offseason. Much of his renewed progression has been during this time, so I can see him being a WW favorite after this weeks performance. I usually don't spend that much on possible "one week wonders" but I think there is a little more upside with Agholor. And I can't turn my FAAB in for cash at the end of the year, so I may as well spend a bunch on a calculated risk. Not sure if you meant the bolded as an argument for spending big to pick him up or not, but the fact that he's an FA in a dynasty league that includes an Iggles fan speaks to what he's accomplished so far in his career, IMO. Exactly. Which is why I think owners who go nuts bidding on players after just one week are chasing outlier games and setting themselves up for disappointment more often than not. For the few who hit, far more will end up missing. You could say the same about every player available on waivers.
That said, I would not go 50% on Algohor either.
That's a "when", not an "if". And I agree. If I am blowing 50% or more of my money for a guy that went undrafted in my league and only after one week, I better be sold that he is an impact difference maker for me the rest of the way. And that there may not be somebody else later on that I might want to get. I realize sometimes you have to jump (think Tyrell Williams last year) but that was because Allen went down in week one. But with Aghlor, while he may have had a nice game (especially cause of a busted play) he still has some guys in front of him and a strong TE that will get targets. This ONE week I don't think all of a sudden makes him this years Williams. Spending that much week one handicaps you down the road if something else happens. Obviously roster size has a ton to do with this. My guess is that Aghlor doesn't come any where close to giving you the ROI you think you are going to get.
COMMITTEEJason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports the Cardinals intend to re-sign Chris Johnson.
It makes sense after David Johnson was sent to injured reserve with a wrist injury. Johnson did not look great in the preseason, however, and the Cardinals kept Kerwynn Williams over him for a reason. Johnson is not guaranteed a role, but he is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.
Right on. Let the amateurs overspend the first week or two on what could be one week wondersExactly. Would you rather have Agholor or Cooper Kupp? You could say the same about every player available on waivers.

Hard to believe he wasn't drafted. Maybe you're in a 8 team league or something.Having a hard time deciding.... I generally start 1RB and 3 WR's with 4 bench PPR (QRWTFFKD)

Just a depth move. Williams will be the play.COMMITTEE

Clay...I'm kind of pissed at myself for passing on him in some leagues....when Woods and then Watkins left, the writing was kind of on the wall that Taylor might look to where he is familiar....and I dismissed it...would have been a nice late round backup/spot start option....and maybe better moving forward.Which TE would you pick up:?
Jared Cook
Charles Clay

Maybe we see more Peterson and Ingram in games where the Saints lead (when will that be with that D?), but I personally don't think so. Kamara was in on the very first drive of the game. As a rookie. On the road. I don't think they view him as a COP/passing down/catchup mode back.Saints were trailing big in the second half. That's why you saw more kamara. Do yourself a favor. Don't get invested in the saints rbs
peterson didnt impress, but he didnt look done, he had some pep in his step... but not enough to make himd eserving of being on the field more than ingram or kamara. i agree that it will be tough to expect consistent production from any back unless one of the 3 gets hurt.Maybe we see more Peterson and Ingram in games where the Saints lead (when will that be with that D?), but I personally don't think so. I do however think it will require an injury or trade or somesuch to unlock any value of the 3 backs.
12 team PPR. Only 4 bench spots. 12 round draft, but yes I agree. He'd be my WR6 if I got him.Hard to believe he wasn't drafted. Maybe you're in a 8 team league or something.
If you want another WR1 I'd go get him.
I'm an Eagles fan who dropped him in a 12x20 dynasty league to pick up the required D/K lineup spots right before the season started. I wouldn't spend 50% on him. I think Jeffery was under-targeted due to Norman. I think Agholor will have a good year but is far from a league winner and unlikely to be a top 25 WR next year. He's likely to be the 3rd best receiver on the team between Jeffery and Ertz.My thoughts: Former 1st rounder hitting year 3 in a high volume offense. As discussed before it appears the Eagles have a plan for him, and possibly traded away Matthews bc of this. If he even comes close to his draft-day expectations 50% will be a bargain.

No he won't. They literally will have 1 RB for each role. Williams for between the tackles running, Ellington on passing downs, Johnson to spell them on both roles. Just going by implied snap percentage, that's a nightmare situation. Give me Buck Allen with his guaranteed passing down work and at least 6-8 carries any day (actually outsnapped Terrance West). Woodhead is gonna miss at least 6 weeks due to his re-strain of his hammy.Just a depth move. Williams will be the play.
Oh well if a beat writer and you say so I'm sold. Cancelling my waiver claim. No he won't. They literally will have 1 RB for each role. Snarky much? You're telling me a guy is the play and all I said is that I disagree going purely by the numbers and the situation. I'm not saying Buck Allen is any more talented than Kerwynn Williams, but Allen is in a much more positively defined situation, and has a history in the role, and is unchallenged in that role due to injury. Plus, we've seen Arizona divvy up carries in such a manner pre-David Johnson breakout. Beat writers can say whatever they want, I look at the metrics.Oh well if a beat writer and you say so I'm sold. Cancelling my waiver claim.
I wouldn't go crazy on him. Jones will be much more involved in future matchups but had Patrick Peterson on him week 1.IMO Golladay fits the mold of a guy I am willing to spend 50% plus on instead of Aghlor. He has continued on a strong preseason and seems to have solidified a role, he has a TE who seems to be demanding less targets than more targets, and dude has that "my ball" mentality that QB's love. While Tate is going to get his between the 20's, Gollady gonna get his share too, and then when he gets in the red zone, he almost seems like option A moving forward for Stafford. Sign me up.

Unfortunately your metrics are wrong. Allen got more snaps due to killing clock in a blowout. Sure Ellington will get 3rd and long passing downs. Where have they said Woodhead will miss 6 weeks? I'm talking standard scoring as well. Do you play PPR?Snarky much? You telling me a guy is the play and all I said is I disagree going purely by the numbers and the situation. I may be wrong, but I thought Ebron's problems were from always being banged up last year. I think him and Clay have the same unreliability issues. I'm tempted to throw a dart at the wall with Julius Thomas (back with Adam Gase and a QB who has a history of using his TE)....plus the bonus that Miami already has their bye week out of the way.Ebron was also very inconsistent and not worth playing most weeks last year. I'm strongly considering picking up Clay as there really are not that many receiving option in Buffalo.
I just dropped Ebron for Clay a few minutes ago. I think it's worth a shot as he's not going to do much worse than what Ebron just did for me.I may be wrong, but I thought Ebron's problems were from always being banged up last year. And Josh Norman was covering Jeffrey so those targets were also a flukeSo Agholor scores on a fluke play where Wentz scrambles and throws it to the first person he sees open and people think he's worth spending FAAB on? Without that random play he finishes the game with 5 catches for 28 yards and no TDs. That game did now show anything other than he got targeted a decent amount.
Someone needs to explain the love for Allen. Isn't Kenneth Dixon back week 4 as well? this backfield is gonna be a mess to figure out. No thanks.Unfortunately your metrics are wrong. Allen got more snaps due to killing clock in a blowout. Sure Ellington will get 3rd and long passing downs. Where have they said Woodhead will miss 6 weeks? I'm talking standard scoring as well. Dixon is out for the season. Again I have no great love of Allen's talent; I love his situation. I'll take a clear role with a bit of future upside over muddy waters any day.Someone needs to explain the love for Allen. Isn't Kenneth Dixon back week 4 as well? this backfield is gonna be a mess to figure out. No thanks.
In a blowout? Hell no. In a close game where getting first downs is important? Hell yes.... you don't use your #1 RB to kill the clock? And this is standard as well.
Dixon is out for the season. Again I have no great love of Allen's talent; I love his situation.
Norman barely covered Jeffrey on Sunday though. They pointed out that Norman stayed to the left side of the field regardless (and got torched by Torrey Smith twice but no catches on it). Jeffrey will get a lot more looks for 14 million reasons but they seem to want Agholar as a key part of the offense so far.I'm an Eagles fan who dropped him in a 12x20 dynasty league to pick up the required D/K lineup spots right before the season started.
