Week 10 D's (1 Viewer)

I'm going with Jacksonville against the Colts. They are already a pretty good defense and they've had two weeks to prepare for the worst team in the NFL.

 
Maybe I'm nuts but I picked up miami defense and strongly considering starting them vs washington. They looked awesome last week shutting down a better offense than Washington's, and they get vontae Davis back.

And Washington sucks. Anemic offense missing Santana moss and no good qb.

Or they could get smoked and score me negative points which will teach me for trying to get cute

I AM getting cute and stqarting Miami D. They are at home and my other choices are not good. Afraid to start Cincy even though they are at home but after the beatdown their D got last week from TEN I am concerned against a much better offense like the Steelers.

Cincy is my other D too! I wouldnt say they got beat down by Tenn. They won the game and gave up 17 pts... thats hardly a beat down. Still I agree with you that I think Maimi is a better start at home vs wash than Cincy vs pitt. Glad to see im not the only one getting cute with miami D this week!

You're right - it was more of a fantasy beatdown....but still, I expect Pitt to score and score at least 20 pts. So unless the D gets a DTD win or lose you are hosed. ON CBS they had 4 little dolphons on the head to head matchup page....vs only 2 whatever they are for the bengals. The Redskins are circling the drain....might as well take advantage of that!
 
I got cute last weekend, pulling the Chiefs over the Bengals. I was correct that the Bengals d would be somewhat subpar, but my god, what a horribly embarassing performance by KC

So now I am in the same spot--Bengals or Browns. STL is on the road without their starting center and TE and a whole slew of WRs. But I am trying to rationalize Cincy...from here on out they have PIT and BAL twice each...either they are a good fantasy defense or not, and if they don't show it against the Steelers at home, they may simply turn into a matchup start

 
Joffer you have to hit on a defense sometime this year. I had mia and dropped them for jax. If the curse continues this week u should have a weekly joffer d thread so i can avoid them

 
I have been playing Cincy the last few weeks except the last vs Tenn thank goodness. I am rolling with the Fins Miami this weekend vs Wash.

 
Thinking Cle is a decent 2 game shot with Rams and Jags both at home.

I am not able to pick from Wash/Mia bc of dual suckage.

Slimpickins.

 
St. L has been solid the last 2 weeks plus they have an easy schedule the rest of the way. The main negative I see is that they don't get to go against their own offense any.

JAX looks solid vs a pathetic Colt team. Actually seeing FF owners dropping Reggie Wayne. Bad times in Indy...

That's who I'm rolling with, but with a healthy amount of skepticism. These two teams play each other hard, regardless of how good or bad their records are. This could very well be a trap game for the Jags.But because I think the STL/CLE or the WAS/MIA games could literally go any way, sticking with JAX and praying the Joffer Jinx fizzles this week.
 
How does everyone feel about starting fins d now that grossman is starting. Smells fishy to me now. Grossman is erratic and prone to ints but he can also hang 300 yds and 3 Tds on a defense.

That news, plus news of swirling winds in cincy have me rethinking...I just benched Miami d in favor of cincy.
