Week 10 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Please note that I have benched Julius Jones for both Chris Henry (RB TEN) and Kolby Smith (RB KC) since Jones has showed nothing all year. This means Jones will break out an 80-yard TD the first drive. Apologies in advance.

But I started Jones instead of an iffy Alexander. So this means Jones will do nothing while Alexander will have his game of the year.
 
Exactly, assuming you played the matchups, benching Ryan Grant was the right move... hindsight is 20/20

 
I was going to start Grant today despite what everyone said was a terrible matchup- but then when Travis Henry went down, I started Selvin Young instead. Selvin's not having a bad day, but I think Grant is special- and look was he's already got in the 2nd qtr (11 carries, 92 yrds and a TD). Grant's schedule is VERY favorable, especially in weeks 14, 15 , 16. If you own him, stick him in your lineup from now on, and don't take him out!

I have the same # of TDs as Chad Johnson over the last 9 weeks. He cant even get more than 70 yds vs Moe, Larry & Curly.

 
Anyone else pick up the Saints' D because they were listed #2 on the cheatsheet this week? Left the Jags on my bench for them. Ugh.

 
After carry Ruvell Martin on my dynasty team for over a year I decided he'd never put up decent numbers and dropped him for a bye week filler.

 
Last week I started Jason Elam as a bye week fill-in at my kicker spot. Denver got shut out.

This week Stover was back, so I benched Elam and put Stover in. Yeah. Great decision making there. :shrug:

In another league I am going against Westbrook and Larry Fitzgerald. :cry: I need a big game from Manning!

 
Thanks for nothing, New Orleans. ####ers cost me the $5000 survivor pool prize. Did you really have to pick this week to suck on both offense and defense again? You just let the Rams, the God-awful freakin' Rams, put their season high score on you, you ####in' pansies.

 
I'm sure we'll see lots of this.... maybe not this bad of a move though.

Decided to cut Graham on Gostkowski's bye week to pick up Kolbi Smith incase he busts lose vs Denver and their usually bad run D.

In a league where 1 rushing/receiving yard = .1pt

I lost by 20.6 pts

 
In my 6pts per TD & 3 pts for 100yds receiving yds...Brandon Marshall is the best NFL receiver on my squad but in this scoring system for our league he gets me goose-eggs on the scoreboard every week despite putting up solid WR numbers. I guess he's just going to be a possession receiver. I keep seeing his 6+ catches every week and 80+ yards and just think he's going to start getting consistent TD's any week but it never seems to happen. Should I just be patient with this guy or unload him because he's just going to be a career possession reciever (i.e. Kennen McCardell).

 
He has come close a number of times but that whole offense is not very good right now. He is not just a possession WR and would score more if Walker were there to draw some attention.

Guys in my league traded the following to my division rival:

Stephen Jackson (2 tds) for Steve Smith

Roy Williams (2 tds and a third called back on a penalty) for Eli Manning

still bad, but in his defense...if Roy would have scored the first one he wouldn't have scored the 2nd, so no matter he still ends up with 2TD's (but missed out on some yardage)
 
Dropped Graham to pick up J.Brown, per the advice of FBG and their rankings. :doh:

You guys are usually right though and you can never expect a dude to kick 7 FG's....

 
Housh, Boldin, Edge, & Lendale, thanks for no ####### TD's and very little else. I'm now damn near dead in the ####### water.

*raises hand* At least the team I bench (Ravens) didn't do so hot either. Still going to lose - thanks to the luck of facing (for a 2nd week in a row) a team that's going to have their best scoring week of the season.Of course the team that I lost to the previous week isn't doing squat (and I'd be pounding them this week). And James "F@#$ing" Harrison has gone back to his normal minimal scoring.
 
Lendale Friggen WHITE!!! ... no scratch that... those damn Titans! Also I cant seem to get the QBs right.. I sit Brees and McNabb sux, I sit McNabb and Brees sucks!! I am going to dump them both for Cleo Lemon

 
Have to start off with the Steelers defense for 1 pt, and Jason Witten for 1.2 pts

Thanks Giants for not letting my boy Brandon Jacobs not get the goal line TD...

Needed 1 more yard from Chris Henry for a 2 pt bonus...5 more yards for Jacobs!

Was hoping to gain some ground with Manning and LT left, but Manning keeps throwing to my opponents WR in Wayne. Here is hoping to get some distance since he still has Hackett and Davis tomorrow! We are tied at the moment with a half left to go!

 
I'm fighting for the league's worst ever weekly point total with Manning, LT, ADP, Plax, Holmes, Gonzo, Gould, and Vikes DST.

That's FF for you...I won the weekly prize last week for top weekly scoring and I shattered the league weekly scoring record earlier this year with this exact lineup!

 
I have the second highest scoring team in the league but am sitting at only 5-5. Here were my first three draft choices...Gore, S.Smith, ADP. Talk about snake bitten. If ADP is out I may have no chance at the playoffs. Bad freaking luck.

 
I put up 165 points this week. 4th most all season. 2nd most this week. Guess who I ended up playing?

Guy had Westbrook, Wayne, Warrick Dunn, Ward, and Chicago's defense.

It's the very rare times like this that I wish I didn't even play FF. :shock: :hot: :rant:

 
Nice 31 point swing by starting Tennessee's D instead of SD.

Oh, and picking up freakin Hanson instead of Graham for a bye week K.

Would have won easily with Roy's 50 yard TD, but it was called back for a phantom illegal formation.. :confused:

The 8 yard TD he ended up with? Left me .3 short :lmao:

 
Was not able to get home in time to start Grant over Lamont Jordan in 2 leagues and Grant over Travis Henry in a 3rd. Cost me the game in 1 of those leagues.

 
Someone explain to me why the lions went for it on fourth down in this situation:

4th quarter down 17 points (so two TD's and two 2 point conversions don't get there)

4th and 1 from the 15 yard line

-18 rushing yards thus far on the day

WHY???

you need 3 scores, take the FG there and move on!!!!
