Week 10 Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

Early speculative reports that Goodson could have aggravated his turf toe. Wondering how long that will linger.

Out of Jones and Reece, I think Reece is the call, although it'll likely be a draining RBBC, with neither being an every week start.

Sanders at WR would be my top pick in PPR for sure. He'll still be a great add in standard and might be a solid pickup in dynasty with Wallace likely out at seasons end.

Jerome Simpson? Harvin's on crutches and his ankle is sprained in 3 places.
I'm a Harvin owner and I may pass on any Vikings' WR this week even though the matchup is very promising. Ponder's playing so bad I'm not sure he can help anyone there even with Harvin out. Not sure if it was posted before but James Starks is now worth picking up. Packers are on a bye in Week 10 but he looks like the new lead RB going forward with Green at best the third-down RB assuming he doesn't lose that spot to a healthy Kuhn. I don't think Starks has much upside since TDs and receptions will probably be lacking but if he's getting 15 or so carries a game he's worth grabbing if you need RB help.

PPR get Woodhead if he's still available. Nice fill in and usually gets about 10 ppg...even in a crowded NE backfield.

This is surprising coming from you. You've been very high on Green and trashing Starks and commenting on the Packers committment to Green. Where is this news coming from? And what about Cedric Benson's role when he comes back?

Yeah I posted in the Green thread that I was wrong. I believed McCarthy when he endorsed Green as the starter going forward last week. That turned out to be a huge mistake because McCarthy was just blowing smoke. Aikman said during the broadcast that McCarthy's plan for Sunday was for Starks to be the feature back on first and second downs. Green would then be the third-down RB with Kuhn out. Starks started off the game playing like absolute crap (blew a blitz pickup that almost got Rodgers killed and had a fumble). After the fumble he got benched, Green came in and looked real good. But Starks came back in and was the RB to close out the game (Green saw a few snaps on passing downs). So if McCarthy was planning to turn the running game over to Starks against the Cardinals it's reasonable to assume that will be the plan coming out of the bye as well. Maybe it's a RBBC but the fact McCarthy went back to Starks even though he was playing poorly said quite a bit to me. That Starks came through and played better after that point certainly helped him. Like I said, maybe it's a RBBC going forward. If you're a Green owner you have to hope the Packers don't kick him to the curb completely. But as we sit here today, I think it's reasonable to expect Starks to remain the RB on first and second downs. Whether Green will be the third-down RB or Kuhn or a combination is the question. The only hope I see for Green right now is for him to take over the third-down duties. That would at least enable him to possibly carry some RB3 value in PPR leagues. But if it's Starks and Kuhn, Green will become droppable in a lot of leagues.I still think Starks stinks so Green could regain some value before it's all said and done. But right now his value is definitely in serious decline. As far as Benson, I think he's by far the best RB on the team and it's not a coincidence the offense has generally looked better with him than without him. My guess is that if he's ready to play later in the season he'll regain the starting job as soon as he's healthy enough to play.

Emmanuel Sanders -- They're saying Antonio Brown has a high ankle sprain. Sanders had a TD today.
:goodposting:
Serious question, why not Cotchery? It looked like he benefited the most from Brown's absence.
He did because he fell into Sanders spot and increased his play time dramatically. From almost nothing to 50% of the plays. But Sanders will now be a full time player, and he has routinely produced when healthy and given the chance.
Thank you. As a Brown owner, this is helpful.
This may be short-lived: Brown DOESN'T have a high ankle sprainhttp://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/04/antonio-brown-has-non-high-ankle-sprain-could-be-back-next-week/
From Rotoworld:Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is describing Antonio Brown's Week 9 injury as a "mild" high ankle sprain.Profootballtalk reported late Sunday that Brown does not have a high ankle sprain. Brown himself characterized it as a high ankle sprain, though, and it appears the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Through eight games, Brown is on pace for 84 receptions, 998 yards, and two touchdowns. If Brown can't play against the Chiefs next Monday night, Emmanuel Sanders would draw the start.

Lance Dunbar in deep leagues. Getting some run now, and gets return yardage if you get points for that. Who knows with Murray's foot, and Dunbar has already passed Tanner. Considering Jones hasn't done ANYTHING noteworthy, Dunbar could be an interesting stash down the stretch.

Nah, he does this a lot, backtrackerfan...has to.

:lmao: Yeah right.I'm man enough to admit I misread the Starks vibes. It happens. If I make a bad call I'll man up and admit it. No backtracking involved, just admitting I was wrong about Starks getting more involved. I placed my trust in what the coach had said. I won't make that mistake with McCarthy again.

I don't know why but my numbers keep liking A.Hawkins in ppr leagues

#3 wr upside for those struggling at wr.

I know, I know, don't ask me why.

1. Reece

2. Redman - well, Mendy or Dwyer or both could play. Or not. So do you gamble on Redman as the No. 1 pickup and hope he starts & gets nearly all the load again. Ugh.

3. Ivory

4a. Joique Bell

4b. Ingram

5. Dan Thomas

6. Taiwan Jones - on the bench behind Reece just in case he goes off?

WR

I'll throw out a name that seems to go overlooked.Ronnie Brown. Picked him up in one league as a desperation start and got 12.3 pts in PPR. He's still available in another league and gets enough combined touches to have value going forward. Norv seems to be going to a full RBBC, but Brown's value is that he's always in on 3rd downs and 2 minute offense, and he gets GL looks.

If you're in a 14-team league like me you might give Jake Locker a look as he's coming back?? :)

Can you help me order these? I'm looking for long term value as there will be nobody I'm picking up and starting this week.

RB: Beanie Wells, Marcel Reece, or James Starks?

I think I'm leaning Wells, but he has a tough schedule ahead. Starks might have a new opportunity, but his YPC is awful. Reece has a new opportunity and the best schedule ahead, but he is third on the depth chart and he goes down the drain if one of two RBs return.

WR: T.Y. Hilton, Emmanuel Sanders or Robert Meachem

Meachem is coming back from injury and Hilton is starting to get it turned on with Luck. Sanders has big upside, but he'll likely fall in future weeks when injured players return.

Thanks :)
