week 13 waiver thread? (1 Viewer)

Forget week 13, most know you sacrifice week 13 unless you need the win and prepare for week 14. Grab those defenses you need and any other players you have been streaming for week 14 games.

buffalo D probably your best bet with home games against Ind wk 14 and Mia wk 15.... not much else out there in my two leagues for under the radar defenses.  good call on seals, forgot about him

Aaron Rodgers.  He was throwing 30 and 50 yard bombs before the Steelers game.  In looking at the video below, it wasn't a soft toss.  That was a vintage Rodgers throw with that quick snap throwing motion.

DSJ or Witten (nice schedule) for my Plan B at TE if Olsen continues to be limited by foot soreness.

Doctson for the block (he’ll be my WR6/WR7)?

Though I’d probably be best served handcuffing Bell - I guess that’s James Connor?

Hundley has a couple nice matchups before AR comes back.

Mike Davis is expected back next week, per Pete Carroll.  Lacy is putrid, Rawls has been completely shelved, and they're not increasing McKissic's role despite all the former.

Davis has a shot to win some leagues with legit RB2 value down the stretch.  Schedule isn't the best with Eagles at home, then at Jacksonville, but he gets the Rams at home in week 15 and the Cowboys in week 16.

ETA - the Philly matchup is brutal (1st in rushing yards / game allowed; 4th in yards / attempt), but then:
Jacksonville (19th in yards / game; 26th in yards / attempt)
LA Rams (27th in yards / game; 30th in yards / attempt)
Dallas (17th in yards / game; 25th in yards / attempt)

Jacquizz Rodgers and/or Peyton Barber if Martin is concussed enough to sit next week (and beyond). Not great options, but any starting RB has value these days.

If Drake is available (and he was dropped a lot last week) then he could be very decent down the stretch with Williams out.

I think Carson still has a role when/if he returns, which could be week 13. Although I havent heard anything yet I'm still holding him.

Picked him up last week. Was really hoping Pack had beat Pitt. Much less likely to come back if Pack is out of it.

I'll start believing in Seahawk RBs when the argument for them isn't based on process of elimination. If this year has taught us anything, it's that the answer is usually "none of the above."

I've got Burkhead available in my league, need to win, and it's him/Freeman superbust/or Abdullah... might have to put the claim in and roll with him down the stretch (which doesn't look like it'll be a long time).

If someone screws up and drops a Def like BALT for that 6th RB they think they need.

Grab Balt DEF for the playoffs,

Balt #1 Def for wks 15 and 16.

Seth Roberts  likely number 1 WR going against the Giants.
Giants D has been performing better the last 2 weeks. It looks like they started to try again after Management announced McAdoo would not be fired this season no matter what and then the players  and the coaches had a meeting. But now Jenkins is out so who knows.

Still, I think Cook is a very strong candidate for a Big bounceback this week as he is really their top receiving threat right now and the Giants have struggled all season vs TE's. I expect he will dominate in the passing game this week.

One of the Raiders WRs will go off this week. Just no sure which one. No Cooper, no Crabtree, no Jenkins. Candidates are Roberts, Holton, or Patterson.

In related news, bench Derek Carr :wall: (I was so happy to be going into 2017 with Andrew luck and Derek Carr)
Why would you bench Carr with such a great matchup? Yeah he lost his two top WRs but I still think he can put up good points against a horrible team with no Jenkins.

Trying to decide between Aaron Rodgers, Tyrod Taylor, Derrick Henry,  Hunter Henry, Keenum, M. Bryant, Corey Coleman, Crowell, Drake.

12 team short bench: (4 bench spots)  - Likely cutting bait with KC DST

I can't get a read on this Rodgers situation.  NFC likely is 10 wins to make the playoffs.  Hundley might not have them in contention by then.  If he plays Week 15, I'd be in the semi's

I have Rivers/Alex Smith at QB.

I also like Hunter Henry to come on more as the season goes on.   I have Graham and am leery about his health.  He can't keep producing these TD's at this rate.

That's why. Carr hasn't done well this year with his top 2 receivers, he's currently qb20.

I was looking forward to this matchup but not so much now.

I think the matchup outweighs his lost WRs. Lets face it, both Cooper & Crabtree have been pretty bad this year and its not all on Carr. I think he's a lock for 260 & 2 TDs even with guys like Cook, Patterson, & Roberts to throw to.

Maybe. But you have to admit his upside dropped a bit.

I think I might have a problem at TE. FBGs early projections has 20 WW TEs ranked above Greg Olsen.

:lmao:

Really fun to bid on guys you've already cut (ASJ, Witten.) Might go WTH with DSJ or Njoku. Fiedorwicz, James, Watson out there.

  :X

Moved him for Alex Smith months ago. That worked out OK for awhile. But both were my backup to Dak. I hate even thinking about Prescott these days. McCown is on my wire if I completely lose my mind this week.

Thoughts on Winston. Looking like he's back?

Also are people cutting Alex Smith?
Alex is outplaying Dak

:lmao:

I'd like to cut both of them for McCown / Hundley but in reality I'm pot committed. Gonna ride it out and hope one of them turns it around. The Cowboys QB probably will; with Alex, it's the same thing it's always been: they take away the short stuff lately because they know he is risk adverse and won't take shots into a tight window. He's regressed to being the same guy he always is, and you have to wonder if Reid is pondering going with the rookie to jolt the team out of its doldrums.

ETA: oh, and heck no on Winston, why would you think he'll play better? I just hope for the sake of the Bucs fans he doesn't get the Andy Dalton treatment. He's not a franchise QB and if they give him an extension, they'll be screwed for years. It probably makes sense to pick up his option for 2019 but no way should they give him Carr money based on the way he has played.

I might be starting mccown over Carr. Or pick up buttercup Bortles ?

Was thinking about dumping Smith for Case Keenum but at this point I'm better off hoping that Alex Smith turns it around.

If you're desperate for an WR like I am, Inman and Dede Westbrook are getting a lot of targets and widely available. What a season where I may start one of these guys over Tate and Dez. FML

I lost my mind last Saturday.  Dropped Carr-added Brissett(Indy).   woe is me.

I don't want to panic when I have a super strong team outside of QB/TE. Not too worried about the latter - almost all our playoff teams are streaming or playing matchups - but I need Dak to start being Dak again. Smith I have less confidence in. And if I get a bye (long shot but possibility) I don't want to be rolling out hot garbage at QB in the Semis.

Why not go for Keenum?  He's been pretty good for 4 straight weeks now.  He has a lot of weapons around him.  I would take him over Smith in a heartbeat.

I have Dak and Cousins, and considering dropping Dak for McCown just for this week's matchup alone.  Why do you think Dak will turn it around?  The LT came back on Thursday and the Cowboys still couldn't find a rhythm on offense.  Just curious if it's worth holding on to Dak, as Cousins hasn't performed well against Dallas recently.

I have Rivers, but making a claim and  hopefully getting Rodgers.

Also have Smith, with Keenum and Winston available.

I may carry 3 QB's and just hope to find one worth starting.

How is Washington pass D? ... Rivers at home vs Wash next week.  Week 1 of Fantasy playoffs.

That’s what Harris was saying yesterday in his podcast. “OK, Zeke suspended, Tyrun out, Dak plays bad. Morris plays decent with Smith back, Dak plays bad. Do you really want to start the QB15/QB20 with the pkayoffs about to start?”

Guess I’m hesitant because I dropped Marvin Jones early. That led to Fuller, Funchess, Smith-Schuster ahead of the curve. Then dropped Fuller as soon as Watson went down to grab Woods - big net positive. I also dropped Doyle when he was concussed & he would have solved my TE situation if I held him.

Are McCown or Garrapolo or Hundley (2 more weeks?) or Winston a better solution than holding & hoping? IDK
