Week 14 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

In one league, started Rodgers, had Romo on the bench. Also had Willis McGahee on the bench...none of my other RBs got out of single digits.

And Eli Manning better just ignore Nicks for the rest of the game. My $ league game is getting too close for my comfort!

:bs: :lmao: :wall: Randy Moss! :wall: :wall: :wall:

Complete waste of a great game by Ray Rice. Now the only thing that will save my season is if Kurt Warner doesn't throw a single touchdown tonight.

Ryan freaking Grant...done in by my own Packer player.

2 TDs to kill me.

That...and the biggest piss me off last night.

Akers gets an extra point blocked...they end up going for 2 later because of that....I lost by 2 points and had the tiebreaker.

Ugh.

I got screwed by Rodgers and Mendenhall. Team wasn't very good anyway, oh well. Always next year. Unless Fitz can get me about 80!!! <_<

Chris Johnson / S Jax / Rivers / Roddy / V Jax / Jennings / Olsen / Bironas ............. And will lose by 20 or so!!! Unbelievable!! (12 team league PPR, 1st rd playoffs)

Let's see, I got whipped by the following:

Schaub, Matt HOU QB 23.60

Addai, Joseph IND RB 15.10

Maroney, Laurence NEP RB 13.10

Crabtree, Michael SFO WR - Still to play

Jackson, DeSean PHI WR 34.80

Johnson, Andre HOU WR 47.60

Smith, Steve CAR WR 19.00

Bironas, Rob TEN PK 20.00

Titans, Tennessee TEN Def 23.00

This team averaged 111 points per week with a yearly high of 154. They will most likely have the highest score for year if Crabtree can score more than 4 points with over 200.

Oh well, there's always next year, right?

BTW - I have 114 with Warner and Vernon Davis left to play, but I"ve pretty much conceded victory.

My entire roster flopped on me and now I need Warner to outduel Smith tonight by 6 points to make the playoffs.

Oh, to add to this, the guy I'm currently losing to ... is 0-13!!! :goodposting:

The Giants/Eagle game absolutely killed me. I had Celek and Maclin and my opponent had the Eagles D and Jackson. To make matters worse, I just discovered that our scoring system is so screwed up that it gives return TD points to both the DST and the individual. So my opponent got credit for 2 TDs on the Jackson return. Anyone ever hear of a league giving points to both?

I have a slim chance tonight. I still have the Cards D and Hightower, but I'm down by 40. Not looking good. Hoping for a lot of dump offs to Timmy (ppr league)

Fumbles worth -2 points in my league, 1 pt per 20 yds receiving. I start Randy Moss. He finishes with -2. I lost by 1 point.

Yes, if I had left my WR/RB flex spot BLANK, I would advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Just played myself out of a playoff win

Start Scheffler 0 Bench Carlson - TD

Start M Sims Walker 0 Bench V Jackson - 120 yd

Start Harrison 1 Bench Hightower - TBD

I'm still up 12 but he has V Davis and Gore.

Why would you start Walker? Wasn't he listed as doubtful? I started him but only because Anthony Gonzalez and Percy Harvin were inactive. Wasn't Anthony Gonzalez suppose to miss 4 to 8 weeks? It's now been 14 weeks and I've wasted a roster spot all season for him.

Well, I absorbed Chris Johnson and Co. to have a pretty large lead going into the Sunday night game. He had Mcnabb and Celek. I had Maclin. Figured I only needed a few points outta Maclin to win. I figured right. I lost my playoff game by 0.20. Only needed one catch for 5 yards Jeremy. Too much to ask. Ah well, so goes the maddening hobby that is FF.

I've felt heartsick since yesterday's early round of games. My team was a solid championship contender and I lose yet again in the first round of the playoffs. I've never won a title and haven't advanced to the second round in a few years.

Rodgers and Roddy White were f'n $$$$$$$$$$$$ all year long, and they picked week 1 of the fantasy playoffs to both crap their pants to the tune of a whopping 13 combined points.

I was feeling pretty good yesterday evening. Twelve points down despite having Steven Jackson and Donnie Avery going (thanks, Percy). Thank God for Bironas. Anyway, I still had McNabb and Josh Morgan, while my opponent only had Desean Jackson.

Well, now it's Monday and I'm still 12 points down, hoping for a Miracle of Morgan's Week. And I'm actually lucky to have even that slight chance, since punt return TDs don't count for the player in this league.

Oh yeah, and in another league, first round of the playoffs, I faced Marshall and Clark with my mighty crew of Mendenhall, Megatron and Witten. Ugh.

I NARROWLY missed the playoff bracket in my FF league and watched my team explode this week for what would have crushed any of the quarter final opponents i might have been matched against. My defense didnt even play yet and im up 20 on all the other scores in my league.

Schaub, AJ, Austin, Rice, TJones, Charles, Celek...

Too little too late.

I guess this is half vent, half brag. Just needed to vent once about it.

GAH i say, GAH!

Got spanked by the likes of Schaub, Thomas Jones, Colsten, D. Clark and Mason.

Some weeks it's just like that !!

Went against both Marshall and Andre Johnson this week

Scored well enough to beat any of the other playoff teams....except the guy I played.

Chris Johnson owner eliminated......

Son of a ..... Was up 10 with Hightower and my opponent has Vernon Davis. That is my worst nightmare for a start. Lead is down to 1 point. Should have known I was doomed after last night when Maclin went out with no catches and Akers could not convert an extra point.

I need 3o points from Warner and the freaking RBs keep turning the ball over.

Can we PLEASE just ignore the RBs for the rest of the game please?

:lmao:

Warner is killing me. I needed 29 points from him tonight to win my playoff matchup. Unfortunately, I STILL need 29 points from Warner in the second half.

Gore and Johnson light up AZ defense while Peterson struggles? What's the deal?
Looks like Arizona is like Randy Moss. They show up and play when they want to.
I got Moss and Warner in one league. Guy I'm playing in the first round sent me a congratulatory email, joking its over unless Crabtree scores 50. I started out tonight up by 21.44; now its 8.50.NFW, right? I mean...naw, no way. Really? Oh come on, man.

Second to last week of the season (playoffs are Weeks 16-17). 11-2. One game lead against division rival; only one of us can make the playoffs. Rodgers disappears while Eli explodes on my bench. Need a 1 40+ yard TD or 2 shorter TDs out of Fitzgerald and Gore in the second half to lock up a playoff spot, otherwise we'll be tied up going into the last week. I'll have a nice point cushion for a tiebreaker, and he plays the tougher team in Week 15, but it's looking more and more possible (2:1 maybe?) that I'll go 12-3 and miss the playoffs. Divisions in fantasy football are stupid.

Edit: And Fitz is dead. Sweet.

Thanks Kurt!!!
 All I need is for Warner to outscore the Cards defense by 5 pts. Sadly enough, I'm not even going to come close to that. Thanks for picking tonight to play your worst game of the season Kurt. I know, I know.........never vent until the game is over..............

First round of the playoffs. I'm up going into tonight's game. I have Warner and Fitz. My opponent has Gore and Crabtree.

Thanks a lot, Cards.

Just went from up less than half a point in 2 leagues to down on this drive. Was hoping the Niners would just keep it on the ground.

Stupid Akers blocked extra point, Maclin getting hurt with no catches, Hightower getting me negative points with his fumbles and a got damn kicker (Bironas) scoring 19 points against me added up to a loss of one half point. Was winning by a point until the pass to Vernon Davis on the last drive. Why couldn't they just keep runnig Gore to run out the clock. Highest scoring team is one and done. All the lower seeds won in the 1st round of our playoffs. Man this game sucks sometimes.

Worst beat of my 20 year FFL life. #1 seed. 13 game win streak. And I lose by 2/100 of a point. A stinking blocked kick that isn't even showing up yet on our live scoring will be the difference. Right now I'm showing up by 1.98, but by tommorrow morning it will be a stunning loss.

7 turnovers = check

Stephens Howling falling down to keep Warner from getting TD, check

Warner repeated turnovers, check

Boldin turnover, check

Stinking blocked xtra point, check

Terrible, terrible beat. 4th year guy that barely squeaked into playoffs who has never made it before. Good for him, but wow just a terrible beat down.

Less than 6 pts combined from Randy Moss; Larry Fitz and Kurt Warner = bye bye from playoffs. Makes me want to puke...I was down by 15 ish going into tonight and I had Warner and Fitz going and opponent had Boldin. I liked my chances and needed really just 1 TD from Warner to Fitz to mostly seal the deal.....of course Fitz bobbled that pass close the red zone, got injured, and never caught a pass after that. Warner's pass almost went for a TD to the RB.... just too many close misses. Oh well, always next year since this is a dynasty team and I like my chances again next year. Just goes to show how much luck there is in the playoffs.....I could have started Aromashodu and he would outscore these 3 studs combined....sick.

Both of my would-be playoff teams completely tanked this week, ending a very disappointing season. Some very bad beats. Oh well. I have had a lot of success over the years, so I have to expect all of the breaks to go against me one of these years. Still sucks, though.

Inadvertent whistle turns a SF defensive TD into a 5 yard Alex Smith TD. I lose by 3. That's a tough one to swallow.

Needed Crabtree and Fitz to outscore Warner by 11 points. Crabtree and Warner did their part, but it wasn't Fitz' fault that he went 2 for 22. Warner was just awful and Fitz got hung out to dry on that long pass where he got dinged.

Ahhh well. I can't complain. I somehow made the playoffs in a start 2 QB league with Ryan, Garrard, and Sanchez.

Needed to lose this weekend to make the playoffs (opponent would get in on record bouncing another team to in-on-points which I would win). Andre Johnson decided to have the game of his life on THIS Sunday and the SF D who have let me down all year decide to go hog wild. Not only did I win, thus eliminating me from the playoffs, I was friggin' high scorer of the week. The only time this season. Unbelievable. I had had one tie, 2 games I lost by one point and another by 3 points. It would have been nice if those guys just mentioned might have helped out during those weeks.

Can I please get a pitchfork and torch and directions to Kurt Warner's house, too. All I needed was 8 lousy points! :lmao:

Count me in among those screwed over by the Cards last night... needed Warner/Boldin to beat Crabtree by 2 points and ended up losing by 4.

Cost me a guaranteed $500, but $1000 if I won next week. Sucks!

I'll preface this by saying that I was down 40 with Gore, Campbell,Hayes and Wilson left to go last night. I wasn't expecting to come back and win in the first round anyways but I did make a come back and with around 9 minutes to play i was down about 4 points with San Fran getting the ball back. Ended up losing by .23 points because Gore came out of the game and didn't get a lousy 3 more yards. Nice to see him come back in for the kneel down series though.

Granted if it wasn't for Gore I never would have been that close and if Young didn't get hurt it wouldn't have probably mattered and I can look at about 5 other guys that would have won the game for me had I started them instead but it still kills me to get that close and watch Gore stand on the sidelines.

pretty much the same core roster for three years and have yet to get out of the first round :lmao: :lmao:

brady/brees

ADP/Grant/Slaton/C. taylor/wells

Moss/Fitz/harvin/evans/garcon

gonzales

gostkoski

pittd

peppers

harris
