Week 15, NYJ @NE (1 Viewer)

I know it's a bit early, but are we looking at the single highest scoring game (at least on the NE side) of the season? What are the fantasy implications especially since it's during the fantasy playoffs.

If you have Brady & Co, are you pretty much guaranteed a win that week? If you don't have them, is there anything you can do other than to try to trade for all patriot players?

What strategies are people in the Shark pool thinking about? Are you looking to change your playoff seeding (aka tank, must winout) to avoid playing Brady/NEP heavy team in the fantasy playoffs that week?

ETA: Also, I assume the NEP def would also be playing without mercy... Does that mean all NYJ players are pretty much useless?

I think the more important question is, what will the point spread be on that game? That literally could be the highest point spread in NFL history. I don't know what the highest has been, but I would think the line on that game would be around 28-31. And I would still take NE. They are going to want to drill the Jets, and I doubt the Jets will be able to do anything to stop it, assuming Brady is still healthy.

:kicksrock:No WAY it is that high...ETA: I'll take NYJ +28 right now if you want to bet
I'll resist the urge to bet for now :lmao: , but don't be so sure on it not being that high. If the Patriots keep demolishing opponents every week, Vegas is gonna keep jacking the spread up, and factoring in how much Belicheck will want to crush Mangini and the Jets, a 28-point spread is a very real possibility.

Agreed on all fronts.

-If you dont have Brady, hope you dont see him that week.

-Not much you could do to avoid facing him in the playoffs. But if there's a way, make it happen.

-Should be the highest point spread humanly possible.

-Not guaranteed, but if youve got Brady, and youve reached the playoffs you must have a decent team, so I wouldnt bet against you.

-Coles or possibly Cotchery would be the only Jets Id consider starting.

-Time heals some wounds. Not the case here with Bill Belichick. It will be an extremely long day at the office for the Jets.

-Not a doubt in my mind these guys will not let up short of the last 5 minutes of this game.

-I would absolutely bet the Pats, give the points, and have an extra happy Christmas.

Just checked the schedule. Week 16 Mia @NE is not much better.

I guess the only chance for non Brady owners is if the weather gods turn up the blizzards in NE.

Yes, but the Pats won't be trying to send a message against the Dolphins. So they'll play it like they normally would, and win by 28.Against the Jets, it's war. You think they're running it up now? A 50+ beatdown wouldn't be shocking.

Let us not be too quick to forget what the weather can be like in Foxboro in late December; nor the possibility that NE has already sealed its playoff position by then.

Uh, NE may rest everyone

No way they rest against the Jets, even if they have everything clinched. If only on revenge factor, I think BB will not play the 2nd string. But against Miami, I could see that. That's why I would try my best to avoid a week 15 playoff matchup against a team with Brady.

Someone jokingly mentioned blizzards, but honestly I think the weather at that time of the year could be a factor, and weather is a good equalizer, not giving the jets a chance in hell.. but it could keep the score down. Even if it is just bitterly cold that will change the outcome.
