Week 15 waiver wire (1 Viewer)

Fluke IMO. Juju is back
Perhaps but I'm not gonna find a sure thing on my WW. they all income a high level of risk. Looking for data or educated guesses that tilt the odds slightly in my favor as I chose between the likes of ASj, James, shaheen, celek, Watson, etc. They all have warts, hoping to uncover which one has the best odds of having a decent day

In 14 weeks, I've carried 2 TEs on 8 occasions. I picked the wrong one 7 times (not sure what happened WK 5.)

Over 14 games, my starting TEs have scored 3.00 or less points 7 times. It's full PPR.
This last week I had Witten who caught 1 pass for 20 yards and a touchdown. 8 points.  It is my best TE performance of the season.

This sounds exactly like me in 2 of my leagues.  In my most important league  I have been chasing TE all season. Started with Ebron week 1 (1.9 pts) dropped him and picked up  Clay for (3.8 pts) week 2, dropped him and would have won if I had kept him for week 3. Ran through TE's until I picked up Clay when he returned from injury... and has been garbage since.

TE has been such a dumpster fire all season I have to imagine that the few, reliable guys that aren't injury-prone (i.e. not Jordan Reed) will get nabbed in drafts super-early next year.  Not just the usual suspects like Gronk, Kelce and Ertz but high target volume guys like Engram and Doyle as well... especially in deeper leagues with 14-16 teams.

Hold my beer.

I've rostered 6 TEs this year, started 5 different guys. The only one I never started? Jack Doyle, now somebody else's starter.

For the season, starters - 87.80 (6.27 PPG), backups - 102.1 (8 G, 12.76 PPG.)

I'm unlikely to start RSJ (TE41) or Olsen (TE87 - still behind Eifert  :lmao:  .)

I'm choosing between James, Njoku, and Shaheen (Brate also on the WW) - leaning towards the Bears 2nd Rounder. You get a chance to start a GLIAC in the semis, how can you pass on that, right?

TL; DR

I'll let you guys know what I do so you can make sure you don't pick the wrong TE streamer.

ETA: FTR I led the league in points. Still pondering the deeper meaning of my TE ineptitude, it's a newly acquired expertise.
I went back and looked at my non-ppr league. Im averaging under 2pts per game with a high of 5.35. No TE has scored a TD for me this year, obviously. I have gotten 0 (olsen) and negative (OJ) at least once each. Its been a joke. I have started: GB TE to start year from A&M, OJ Howard, ASJ, the Atlanta Guy, Charles Clay, Olsen, and Seals-Jones. I have no clue who to start. Im kinda figuring to get nothing so i may go with one on Monday Night just to have hope for longer.

It sounds like few of us are up the same creek without a paddle at TE.  What are your plans for this week?  With Ertz coming back, I put O.J. Howard, Garrett Celek, Adam Shaheen and Eric Ebron on my watch list early in the week.  I've taken my Clay and AS-J meds for the year and puked them up, I missed the departed RS-J train.  Celek and Shaheen sound a little banged up, and I can't see lightning striking twice with Ebron, sooooo . . . . . O.J. Howard or bust!

This is a good waiver week for IDP leagues, especially leagues requiring a CB in the starting lineup. Thoughts on Riddick and k-will?

I have this issue in one league. I'm going RSJ (again) despite the 19 snaps. Won't find better matchups for a TE than WAS/NYG.

I may ask this somewhere else also, maybe in the Lions thread, but does anyone have any insights into the Lions run game? Abdullah was hurt, then scratched, but maybe not this week? This is just in the way of figuring out if Riddick is a worthwhile play.

I guess “no one knows” is the correct answer. Staffford threw 44 times last week & I expect more of the same at Ford Field tomorrow.

None of Detroit's starting offensive lineman ranks among the league's top 30 players at his position in run blocking.

#onemoretimeforthepeopleintheback

They literally have no one on the roster who can block anyone.

What's with Woodhead? I figured they needed him for a playoff run. They played him right off against Pitts for about 10 plays and then nothing the rest of the game. I looked, he;s not injured, no mention of benching or under performing. Actually Balt has a video of him being stoked of possibly being in the playoffs on their site. Is he no ready yet? Cleve looks good to find out.

Have you not seen Collins run the ball? The superior back gets he touches.

I know that, but atleast they should get him ready. An injury can kill you.
When it comes to Woodhead, "getting him ready" had frequently led to injuries. Maybe they're keeping him in bubble wrap until the playoffs?

More likely, Baltimore's goal is to build an early lead and hold it through running game and D. Even in the Pitt shootout, they led most of the way. If they were playing from behind most of the game, maybe we'd see more of Woodhead. But they close with Cleveland, Indy and Cinci, so we may not get to find out before playoffs.

My flex TE's are Ebron, Njoku, and Traylor. (Broncos).  I also have Engram but we can start two.  TE's are big scorers in this particular league.  I'm thinking about rolling Ebron over Dez or Crowder.  It's big play ppr.

My thoughts exactly. That's why I posted it here. If you are in a pinch at RB in PPR he could be worth a shot. Flacco like him and they need him "in case" of an injury, he'll be ready to step in. Get him PPR work now.

Easy sch,PPR RB, get in shape, give someone a break, QB likes him.

It’s also possible that Woodhead isn’t the same player he used to be given his injury history and advanced football age.
