For those non-playoff teams that have a week 17 Toilet Bowl where you can start a roster comprised of any players in the NFL, I thought it might be nice to get a thread going with thoughts on what would be the optimal line up in week 17 with all the variables at play like starters getting rest before the playoffs, teams playing for their playoff lives, etc.
My league is not TE mandatory, non-PPR, and here's what I'm thinking so far:
QB: Cam Newton - with other stud QBs like Rodgers, Brady, Brees potentially not playing the whole game. Toying with Eli or Romo in their Sunday night tilt.
2 RBs - picking 2 of Mendenhall, Spiller (can't believe I'm typing that) Rice (don't love his matchup), MJD.
3 Rec - probably going to go with 2 WRs from the Dal/NYG game (most likely Cruz and Austin) and maybe either Calvin, Welker...
K - Akers
DST - SF (safest bets for K and DST IMO)
Thoughts on other players that folks think might be the top scorehistamine the position this weekend?
