Week 2 (1 Viewer)

So, i came out ahead last week. Played $10 in head to head and 50/50's and came out with $14.50. Not a HUGE hit but I am in the black and don't have to add any money to my acct his week. I plan to follow the same strategy this week and pick a stack that I like (QB and WR/TE). Laid out the games I like this week and picked players from each game. Withe the 60K budget and QB/WR/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/D/K that Fan duel runs, here's what I have put together thus far.

Brady- $8,300

Ivory- $6,900

Miller- $7,300

K. Allen- $8,200

Moncrief- $6,000

James Jones- $5,400

Gronk- $8,300

Saints- $4,800

Gano- $4,600

Total- $59,500

I come in a little under so I could go back in and tweak a WR/RB or maybe even a different Kicker. Tried to pick games with higher lines for more points potential. Opinions on my strategy? Not asking for a yes/no on the lineup. Just seeing if I am finally grasping this DFS concepts.

Not bad, but I'd suggest looking at matchups closer and exploiting games with high over/under totals.

For example, Brady and Gronk are a good stack but they have a much tougher matchup this week with Buffalo. Just look at what Buffalo did to Luck last week.

Ya, that's in the back of my head. Part of me is debating the Ryan/Julio or going with the Bradford/Matthews stack again. Also thought about dropping K. Allen and playing Cook against Tampa this week.. Maybe even doing a Brees/Cooks Stack. All 3 of the later free up budget compared the to Gronk/Brady stack.

In 50/50's I would not worry about stacking. I actually typically avoid stacks unless I really like the players in cash games. Stacks increase risk and for cash games that is not a good thing. They also increase the chance for a big score but that doesn't matter in cash games where finishing 1st or 50th in 100 man 50/50 gets you the same payout.

I'm torn about gronk. Yes, the Buffalo defense is tough but even Dwayne Allen got something against them in what was about as bad a game as Indy could play. I dont expect NE to play that badly and Gronk is on another level than Allen.

For cash games, it'll probably come down to exepcted ownership %. If tons of people are rostering him, I may do the same.

So, went back in and tinkered... i agree with the Buffalo warning but Gronk is Gronk and will get his. Maxed my budget with this lineup-

Brees- $8,900

Ivory- $6,900

Miller- $7,300

Cooks- $7,400

Moncrief- $6,000

Stevie J- $5,700

Gronk- $8,300

NO- $4,500

Bryant- $5,000

I get what you are saying about the risk of stacking jandy, I am just fond of the concept. I try to do it in most of my yearly leagues as well.

Walker didn't do so well against Tampa. Does that deter you from cook

With the Saints playing in the Dome, Cooks having a mediocre game last week and Tennessee beating tampa last week... not at all.
