Week 3 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Gore is out with a strained abdominal muscle. FOX says he's questionable to return.
His replacement M. Robinson is putting up the same type of stats. He looked unstoppable running the ball so if Gore is out he could be an outstanding replacement. Scored 2tds. Norv Turner is the master.

Before anyone asks... no, Burress has not been injured. He was benched for poor performance. Who knows if he'll be back in.
Thats not true. It was announced that his Back had stiffened up, by the announcers on FOX. But yes he did play pretty poorly prior to that.
Sorry in advance for little injury info here, but... I myself did not hear anything in the Fox TV broadcast about his back tightening. But I did just now hear the announcers again say that Plax was benched and not anything to do with injury from all that they've heard. He's kind of looking to me like a guy who's being punished and wishes he could go back in. But this part is just speculation on my behalf watching his body language. If there is also some tightening in the back, I wouldn't suspect it to be a problem in the future. Being in the doghouse for his turnovers may be a different story. Especially since they put up 27 points in the fourth quarter without him.

While the announcers initially mentioned Plex had a stiff back coming into the game, they later said he was simply benched and it had nothing to do with his back.

Any updates on Terrel Suggs

The announcer said that Corey Dillion is in the locker room with a hand injury???

Probable to come back.

In case people missed it, Peter King reported doctors familiar with Simm's injury/surgery say this is a 2-3 mo. recovery time. That's unofficial of course, but just passing it along.

Dillion suffered an arm injury in the first half on the MNF game and questionable for return in the second half.

I thought it was an arm injury? Now questionable to return + you have to wonder if this is related to the arm/shoulder injury he sustained last week. I'm sure we'll get the full disclosure from the Pats any minute now :D

I posted this also in the Desmond Clark thread:

Clark carted off with foot injury

September 25, 2006

BY BRAD BIGGS Staff Reporter

MINNEAPOLIS -- Three games into the season, and tight end Desmond Clark is already more than halfway to his receiving totals for all of 2005.

That's why the loss of Clark to what the Bears called a sprained left foot could be damaging. He was injured on the first possession of the second half and was taken to the locker room on a cart.

Clark had only two catches for 31 yards Sunday, but his 12 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown on the season have been a big lift. After catching only 24 passes each of the last two seasons, he has become a fixture for quarterback Rex Grossman in the middle of the field, helping to occupy safeties.

''We're definitely going to miss him, but we've got guys who can step up and fill his spot,'' Grossman said. ''Gabe [Reid] and [John] Gilmore will step up and make plays.

''Des is a good player. There are a lot of times where the middle of the field is open, and he runs great routes. It's not anything brilliant, we're just playing football.''

In other words, using the tight end like the team hasn't in recent years.

''I've been there before,'' Gilmore said when asked if he could fill in. ''I'm more concerned about his health than anything.''

Clark, who has missed only two games since signing with the Bears in 2003, said he would be fine but declined to elaborate.
