Week 3: Los Angeles Rams vs Buffalo Bills ***Game Thread*** (1 Viewer)

I wouldn't have really been upset if that DPI wasn't called, but it did look like illegal contact to me.  I can see the refs letting it go, though.

That's why you don't complain about the refs.  Bad calls go both ways.

I normally agree with this sentiment, but that INT really was an objectively awful call that they got wrong even with the benefit of replay.

Also, I watch a lot of football and two things you almost never see are 1) the QB getting a penalty for complaining about a call and 2) the ball-carrier drawing a facemask penalty on a stiff-arm.  I'm glad for the iffy makeup call, but it shouldn't have come to that.

The facemask penalty, all I could do is laugh.  It was the right call, but Allen singlehandedly fights off 3 Rams D-linemen to avoid the sack.  Say what you will about the guy, but he's a ####### gamer.  I can't even be mad at him on that play.

I hope you don't think this call was just for a stiff arm, he grabbed on and pulled him down.

Okay, I'll just admit that I'm out-voted on the facemask and let it go.  Just gonna enjoy the win and get some alcohol in my system.

Yup. The way he grabbed it, held, and threw the guy down by it, refs kinda had to call it. But goodness Allen is a gamer. In the 2nd half there were a ton of jailbreaks with defenders instantly in Josh’s face. Bills need to get that figured out.

Man, Saintsreport is reveling over the Bills victory as if the Saints won five Super Bowls in a row.

Well, not quite that much. But a lot more attention than I'd have thought. The schadenfreude is flowing freely.

The r/NFL postgame comments have more Saints fans gloating than Bills fans, I think.

That’s because Bills fans are more relieved than anything. And likely, if like me, nervous that the defense has been so awful.
I'm more concerned with them giving up 28 to Miami than 32 to the Rams, but I agree.  They were never gonna hold the Rams to ~17 points.  I think other teams are figuring out that the Bills are soft up the middle....no Jordan Phillips, no Star Lotulelei...Bills relying heavily on young guys like Harrison Phillips and Ed Oliver, and it shows.  Oliver has been fine though.

As iffy as the D has looked, though, I'm very impressed that back-to-back weeks, the offense has gone out there and won the game.

Didn't get a chance to come back in and congratulate the winning team. What a game and despite a heart attack for Bills fans they were treated to a 4th Q albeit unnecessary but highly entertaining nonetheless but it was a 4th Q comeback in the same way Marino and Elway used to will their teams to wins.

Great job Josh 😉

I agree to some extent, but this is one of the best defensive fronts in the league. You had to be expecting a good deal of pressure on Allen. I didn't like seeing it, but it was expected, especially when it got to near-obvious passing situations later in the game.
