It said “ankle” on screen when he was being carted off.

Did it look bad?

I’m watching Redzone so only saw the “quick update” version of it. They just showed him limping off the field with trainers next to him, and then on the cart being driven off on the sideline. Didn’t see the play.

Saw “high ankle sprain” for Alt on the Redzone ticker.

It’s all these crappy turf fields isn’t it?

The Meadowlands / Met Life has one of the worst playing surfaces in pro sports, not just the NFL, any league anywhere in the world. It's wild how many non contact season ending injuries happened on this carpet covered concrete. They switched to "new" field turf in 2023 and Rodgers immediately tore an Achilles. Just play on real grass, spend the money even in a dome, it would be worth every penny to protect player health.

I dont know but he landed hard trying to catch a ball going to the sideline, looked like he landed on the ball maybe, possibly hit his head but I think oblique he was trying to get loose on the sideline.

That was awful looking..leg twisted in the opposite direction. Not sure how it would be dislocated with nothing torn. Just terrible!

Seems like this is the initial diagnosis - the way it looked, as you said, makes one think the damage will be more extensive than that. Brutal couple of days for two of the top WRs in the game.

They need MRI results before they can say anything definitive about ligaments and tendons.

Hearing possible multi-ligament damage on top of the dislocation. Sounds like he's done for 2025 with 2026 in question at his age

I'd guess that longer season + more injuries would only correlate if there were significantly more injuries in the final game?

Wouldn't game four be exactly the same whether 16 or 17 or 20 games?

I'm a big fan of Brian Suterer. I enjoy how he breaks down the mechanics of how an injury took place (through the video) and then uses bio-digital anatomy programs to go over the possibilities and what his thoughts (educated guess) are.
