Week 4 waver wire DROPs (1 Viewer)

We all know the hot waver wire picks for this week, but to pick up a player you've got to drop someone else. Who will you be dropping this week? Last week's waiver wire darling that didn't cut it? Or maybe a player you thought would be a star that hasn't done much (calling Frank Gore)?

Dropped Ocho for D Moore last week. Happy about that one.

Thinking about DWill, just nothing out there with more upside barring injury (only WW RB's are clear backups like Jaquizz and Kuhn et al).

Roster is tight and can't afford a spare QB that is underperforming as bad as he is. I'll take my chances on picking up a bye week QB if he gets picked up. I need a WW defense like Tampa or Buffalo this week, as my Pittsburgh D has been underperforming lately and is facing red hot Houston.

Tomlinson's owner dropped him late last week...I'm heavily considering letting DWill go for Tomlinson.'

The other RBs out there are Ernest Graham (it's a ppr league), Michael Bush, Pierre Thomas, Helu

Is DWill more valuable than any of these guys?? Seriously??

I'm keeping in mind DWill will not be starting for anybody this week vs. Chicago. And I don't see many games on his schedule where he will be startable.

New Orleans - CAR is gonna pass a lot...and even if they wanna run, NO is decent against it.

Atlanta - Average run D...but again...CAR will likely pass a lot in this game

Washington - One game that could be close enough to warrant Carolina running the ball 25 times...but even then that means DWill is only going to get 10-15...tops. Washington is decent against the run.

Minnesota - SEE WASHINGTON

BYE WEEK

Tennessee - Good/Great run D

Detroit - SEE New Orleans and Atlanta above

Tampa Bay - TB can be ran on, and it shouldn't be a shootout...the first chance he will have to maybe live up to RB2 status...and that's even a stretch.

IND - decent play...but even here, assuming he's still splitting time 50/50-ish and Stewart hasn't taken over, what are the expectations? Flex play at best?

Not seeing many games where DWill will be valuable.

So again....is he better than any of the options above???? Even the like of Graham, Pierre Thomas and Helu???

DWill is very much drop material in the scenario discussed above. He has extremely limited upside and to hold on to him, you have to almost be hoping for both JStew and Newton to go down to injuries. I might drop him if for no other reason than to force another owner to make a surprise drop to pick him up. Kind of like a waiver wire trade. Another's trash can be your treasure.

I'm considering the same. In my league, we use blind bidding only, no waiver wire & no $0 bids. Figure if I drop DWill, it'll force someone else to spend part of their limited budget. He's not much better than a stash & hope player

Almost ready to drop Ochocinco in my dynasty. The lack of decent pickups and my low waiver pick is preventing it for the moment.

Pats D

Fred Davis is going to the wire

I am going to probably let NE D go for TB.

I'd love to drop Reggie but my RBs are so bad and the WW options are none.

someone dropped manningham

ingram

fred davis

spiller this week

manningham and ingram were quickly swooped up.

the guy that dropped ingram and manningham is a noob and doesnt know better

Yeah i dropped my back up Qb in Flacco last week. That isn't looking like a good move especially since I picked up Fred Davis and now and dropping Fred Davis for Mike Thomas. yuck

Second weekly episode of extreme roster makeover

See ya Andre Roberts. Ringer's gone as well..why do I want the handcuff for one of the poorest performing RBs in the league when I can snag a rookie RB who might score some playing time as the season progresses?

Last week I bid adieu to Lee Evans, Cooley and Flavor of Week 2 Greg Salas

In answer to my own question, I have dropped the Pats D and Fred Davis for the Houston D and Owen Daniels (wanted Julio Jones, but I didn't have a high enough waiver spot).

Didn't really want to, but I felt I needed to drop Brandon Jacobs in order to make room for Michael Bush as a handcuff to McFadden. As violently as McFadden runs, I fear it is just a matter of time before he is going to miss a week or two, so I need to be ready for that. Jacobs is only averaging 3.3 per carry this year and only got 7 carries last game (though he did get a long pass TD).

Branch & NE "D". Picked Branch up in week 3 b/c he had such a good week 1 & 2 with targets, catches and yds and in week three 0's and 3 targets as I thought with Hernandez down that it should continue for Branch...good thing he was on the bench. NE "D" is being dropped for TB I hope for this week and Branch for Washington since I lost Britt.

I see alot of names that should not be cut here. DWill,Manningham,Bush.

The worst part is there is probably alot of people grabbing Washington or Moore to get these guys.then next week they will be cutting them for the next hot pickup.

Well, it depends entirely on the size/competitiveness of the league and the number of roster spots available.

I would hold.
x2ETA = or x3 after STC. FD should be (worst case) a nice flex play to cover bye weeks. cooley was playing FULL BACK, and did well with his opps, and DAL did make sure FD was accounted for. This was on the road, in division, and mnf. Davis is not bait that should be cut yet.
