Trent Green trying to throw a block on a broken play got a knee to the head.

That's the same kind of head injury that he got in KC.

I don't want to be overdramatic, but that may end up being the last play of his career, given his age and recent head injury history.

I just hope it's a concussion and not some sort of neck/vertebrate issue like a broken neck. He took a knee to the head and then we hear that it's a neck injury. Was he moving at all after the play when they carted him off?

Not that I saw, I even said something about it during the game. He was strapped on the stretcher completely still, not even moving his hands or a thumbs up or anything.

I thought they confirmed it was a concussion? That's what I heard on Sirius while the games were ongoing.Good career, but that many concussions at his age and he should definitely call it quits.

sorry for the delayed response... most of the time it was from just happening to catch the play while flipping around, but the alert I think you were referring to was on the CBS Sportsline Game Center.

If I am not constantly refreshing the thread I will miss a player. You pretty much have to be watching directv redzone channel to get good guys off the waiver in my league.

fwiw, BAL starting C Mike Flynn was also injured later on the same drive. Not sure how long term either injury was, but with Ogden still inactive, it left them with only 5 OL (i.e., no backups), three of whom are rookies (Yanda and Grubbs were starters, Gaither came in when Terry was out. Flynn was replaced by 2nd year G/C Chris Chester). This may bear watching into next week for McGahee owners.

an injury to the fibula is not that bad

It's not terrible, but it's certainly worse than say a broken finger. It is the same sort of injury McNabb once had and finished a game with.

Gaither is a mauler in the run game. I don't think this hurts McGahee all that much, if any. Baltimore is lucky that they have, or had, a ton of depth on the OL.

I saw him go out after being clobbered by Sean Taylor (or McIntosh maybe?), and looking uncomfortable moving his head around on the sideline. I didn't notice if he returned or not.

talking head said it looked like Fred felt a twinge during his last run and sure enough he took himself out and hasn't been back. The game is in hand so we won't find out anything too soon. I wouldn't be shocked if it was a hammy but Fred missing time is a stretch at this point.

Anyone have any updates on fred taylor's status? I am hoping that no news is good news. Lots of good RBs have byes this week, so I bet there are several teams relying on Fraud this weekend.

Jag homers are calling in a "slight tweak" to the hamstring that often gives Taylor an issue.He walked off awkwardly but appeared to not be in too much pain.In the post game DelRio said the doctors let him get on the plane with the rest of the team and wasnt held afterwards for additional tests which is a good sign according to the coach. At this point anything is possible. He may take a week off if he cant practice or the team is overly cautious. He may be fine for the next game. It would certainly bode well for MJD to get 15 or more carries (depending on how the game plays out vs Hou) next week.Keep monitoring.

Watching this happen I thought he might of got hit in the throat by the way he was reacting, but I haven't heard anything regarding it since the game.

No, but he was back in there at the end of the game...and from today's reports its no big deal
