He could be in the protective boot for anything from a mild ankle sprain to a break. Don't read too much into the boot.sdutChargers S.D. U-T ChargersAntonio Gates is in a protective boot. Left ankle. It doesn't look good. Got rolled up on twice -- ka![]()

That is from Kevin Acee, his info on the Chargers is about as good as it gets.Nothing like getting injury diagnoses from sideline reporters on Twitter.Dominos pizza "doesn't look good" either but it's not half bad.He could be in the protective boot for anything from a mild ankle sprain to a break. I'm sure that he's absolutely correct that seeing a walking boot doesn't look good. Seriously, if you don't think it is relevant then ignore it, there are plenty of other threads to be an ### in if you want to. This thread is for injury info, let's keep it that way.I'm sure that he's absolutely correct that seeing a walking boot doesn't look good.
Nah I made a valid point. And you wanted to override it be because you like Kevin acee. Your entitled to your opinion, and if you feel cool calling people names on the forums then do what you gotta do. Maybe you should flame other posters in a separate thread.Seriously, if you don't think it is relevant then ignore it, there are plenty of other threads to be an ### in if you want to. I'm going to post this here if it is OK with "CompetitiveEdgeFootball"injuryexpert Will CarrollAntonio Gates in a walking boot leaving the game, MRI coming tomorrow. Early diagnosis is "severe sprain."
My point was getting injury info from beat reporters is not the optimal situation. Still a valid point whether or not he has a sprain. If the injury expert had tweeted first we wouldn't be having this conversation.I'm going to post this here if it is OK with "CompetitiveEdgeFootball"injuryexpert Will CarrollAntonio Gates in a walking boot leaving the game, MRI coming tomorrow. This thread is about whatever information we hear. It's not like we'll know exact information on the injury today. Chill. Hoss probably wonders what HTH means now too.HTH is a special symbol only used in football threads. The H and H signify goalposts, therefore opposite ends of a football field. The T in between means Team, which is of course on the field between those goal posts. So, when you see HTH it is understood that poster is a fan of football. Sort of a secret code thing understood only by us football fan types.HTHTY=thank-you It's an abbreviation, kind of like 'AARP'HTH
They were passing every down, and Keiland Williams is the 3rd down back.Ryan Torain was out most or all of the 4th quarter (according to the radio broadcast). No word on whether it was an injury or other reason.
No I think the T stands for the tee they use to kickoffHoss probably wonders what HTH means now too.HTH is a special symbol only used in football threads. Thanks. I'm amazed why typing an extra 7 characters is so difficult.TY=thank-you It's an abbreviation, kind of like 'AARP'HTH
CBS said something about a groin injury and he was replaced by Decker.
Don't do that. As you said, keep it 100% on injury info.ThanksJSeriously, if you don't think it is relevant then ignore it, there are plenty of other threads to be an ### in if you want to. I think CJ is fine, but they put Finger in as a change of pace.. They did this a few weeks ago and Finger broke one for like 60 yards.. CJ has been struggling thus far this year for the most part..If he continues to struggle, I wouldn't be shocked if Finger gets more carries to see what he can do..Chris Johnson?
Yeah. Apparent groin injury. I would love to know more. This is all I have:Eddie Royal, WR DENNews: Denver WR Eddie Royal took massive hit from New York's DB Darrelle Revis in the third quarter. Team doctors looked at him on the sideline and it was determined he suffered a groin injury. WR Eric Decker entered the game at receiver to take Royal's spot as the slot receiver. Royal had one carry for 13 yards and three catches for 37 yards in the game before he got injured.Analysis: Royal surpassed his numbers for all of 2009 on Sunday as he needed just 16 yards. He got 37 yards and has seemed to put his awful sophomore season behind him. Royal has a good rapport with QB Kyle Orton and is part of one of the most potent passing attacks in the NFL. Heading into Week 7, the Broncos host the Raiders, a team that had been allowing 198 yards through the air entering Week 6. If Royal is healthy, Fantasy owners should view him as a low-end No. 2 WR option.(CBS)Am I the only person who saw royal got hurt? Did he re-enter the game, so it's no big deal at all? Just find it odd that a guy on pace for 90+ catches isn't worrying anybody.
