Jackson out 2-3 weeks per Bulger interview.
Awesome.
In the post game radio broadcast, the announcers said that SJax "heard a pop" and was off for an MRI.Unless that MRI came back before the Bulger interview and they included him in the discussions about it, I don't know whether to accept his prediction.
there has been no conrete news yet - MFL has hit listed as a nothing injury. I wouldn't count on Bulgers prediction.

Just saw this on a Yahoo blurb regarding Stephen Jackson:

Sun, Oct 19 Jackson, who ran for 160 yards on 25 carries with three touchdowns in Sunday's 34-14 win over the Cowboys, pulled a quadriceps muscle in the fourth quarter just before coach Jim Haslett said he was going to take him out. Jackson was to undergo an MRI.Advice: Jackson thought he'd be fine for next week's game at New England. "It's a little tight," said Jackson, who has rushed for 349 yards in his last three games. "I'm able to walk and I'm able to bend it, so that's a good sign."(STATS, Inc.)
Players always think they are going to play, but the fact that he has that much mobility has to be,. as he says, considered a good sign.

Looks like Plax aggravated his pinky AND his coach:

Giants' Burress appears to swear at Coughlin during 29-17 victory over 49ers

Plaxico Burress was mad about an offensive pass interference call against him on the play pictured above.NOTEBOOK

If it was any player other than Plaxico Burress who was caught by TV cameras using profanity, and if it was anyone other than Tom Coughlin on the receiving end, the incident wouldn't have been a big deal. It would have been chalked up to what Burress described as a "heat of the moment" reaction.

But since Burress and Coughlin were the players in the scene that took place during Sunday's 29-17 Giants victory over the 49ers, it became an immediate controversy.

Less than a month after he was suspended for a game by Coughlin and the front office, Burress appeared to swear in his coach's direction and tell him, "I'll do what I want," after he was flagged for arguing a pass-interference call in the second quarter.

"Things (weren't) going my way," Burress said, "and I said what I had to say."

A quick timeout from this drama for some pertinent Burress news: He went for X-rays after the game and said only that it was his "finger" that was being examined.

According to someone familiar with Burress' injury, he aggravated a torn tendon in his pinky he originally suffered against the Packers in Week 2 of last season. Burress played through the injury, which prevents him from extending the finger fully, and elected not to have offseason surgery.

The person familiar with Burress' injury, who requested anonymity because all injury information is supposed to come from Coughlin, said Burress will have a splint placed on the finger this week. It's unclear, however, if he will wear it in Sunday's game against the Steelers -- his return to Pittsburgh, where he played the first five seasons of his career.

Okay, back to Sunday's brief squabble, which was followed by a discussion between Burress and Coughlin at halftime -- the details of which remained private.

"I don't regret it at all because I'm competing, I'm out there playing my tail off to go out and make plays and I wanted the referees to do the same thing," Burress said.

Niners cornerback Nate Clements, who covered Burress most of the day, was physical in coverage and even appeared to grab him on Burress' 6-yard diving touchdown catch. Clements wasn't penalized on that play, but he was flagged for a 31-yard pass interference and a 15-yard unnecessary roughness when he shoved fullback Madison Hedgecock, who is apparently as good an actor as he is a blocker. Hedgecock sold the flop and drew the flag.

But those penalties couldn't appease Burress.

"When we send (the complaint) in (to the NFL), of course it will come back ... and say it should have been a no call, but that doesn't help us and it doesn't help me," Burress said. "It's a third-down play, it was critical, and he just totally blew the call."

Jackson hurts thigh, could miss next gameST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

10/20/2008

The Rams' startling 34-14 victory Sunday over Dallas came at a cost. Running back Steven Jackson left midway through the fourth quarter with a thigh injury that leaves his status uncertain for this coming week's game at New England.

"We think it's just a bruise," Jackson said afterward. "We're going to get some more tests, an MRI in the morning, just to make sure. But it's just a little tight. I'm able to walk, and I'm able to bend it. So that's a good sign."

But Jackson was walking with a limp after the game, and there was some concern in the locker room that the injury could sideline Jackson for a week or two.

The Rams are about as thin as can be at running back, with Brian Leonard out for the season with a shoulder injury and Antonio Pittman missing his third straight game Sunday with a broken leg. Pittman did practice on Wednesday and Friday last week, but it might be a stretch to have him play against the Patriots, particularly if he has to carry the load in the backfield.

Travis Minor finished out the Cowboys game once Jackson left. There's also Kenneth Darby, who was signed last Tuesday off Atlanta's practice squad. Darby played on special teams Sunday but did not play from scrimmage.

Coach Jim Haslett said he had planned to take Jackson out of the game "on the next play" before the injury.

CARRIKER, STANLEY ARE ALSO INJURED

Defensive tackle Adam Carriker, the Rams' first-round draft pick in 2007, left with a sprained right ankle with 9½ minutes to go in the first half and did not return. X-rays were negative. Carriker, who has been playing well of late, said it was a low ankle sprain and didn't think it was too serious.

"He tried to come back," Haslett said. "Second half, we just held him out."

Rookie wide receiver Derek Stanley suffered what appeared to be a concussion on a third quarter collision with Dallas defensive back Keith Davis. Stanley was running down the field on punt coverage when struck from the side by Davis. Stanley was hospitalized after the game for observation.

"I think he'll be OK," Haslett said. "He took a wicked helmet-to-helmet hit."

Tight end Anthony Becht was poked in the eye in the fourth quarter but returned to the game.

PACE SITS

Left tackle Orlando Pace missed his first game of this season, getting placed on the pre-game inactive list because of a slight tear in his quad muscle. Joining Pace on the sidelines were veteran receivers Drew Bennett (broken foot), Dane Looker and Eddie Kennison.

Besides those players and Pittman, the rest of the Rams' inactive list consisted of cornerback Tye Hill (knee) and guard Roy Schuening.

RAM-BLINGS

Sunday's victory was the first at home for a St. Louis professional football team against Dallas since 1987, when Gene Stallings' Cardinals defeated Tom Landry's Cowboys 24-13 at Busch Stadium.

— Jackson's three touchdowns matched his career high, set previously in the 2006 season finale against Minnesota.

— DeMarcus Ware's three sacks Sunday allowed the Dallas linebacker to tie an NFL record with at least one sack in 10 consecutive games.

— Rams rookie wide receiver Keenan Burton caught his first NFL pass Sunday, a 4-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

I saw no obvious play where Morris got hurt. He went in at half time, and there was no mention of any injury. During NE first series of the second half the announcers said, Morris is out with a knee injury and his return is questionable. They also mentioned he was not on the bench, so I assume he remained in the locker room.
