I just happened to notice this blurb setting my lineup..

(NaVorro) Bowman has been his dominating self in the run game, but he has struggled dropping into coverage. Gerald Hodges, who the 49ers recently acquired via trade, is solid in coverage and could spell Bowman on passing downs.

They've been saying they want to decrease snaps to help with his knee for a while... He played 100% snaps last week.

My bad guys.. I just heard this morning on NFL Network that the reduction of snaps is related to practice reps..

It looks like they were quoting a smiliar source, but this response was from Bowman!
