Week 7 Waiver Wire Defenses (1 Viewer)

I traded M Williams (TB) for SD and they have been a total disappointment the last two weeks...I do like their schedule later in the year.

I was considering STL. They take on TB and have been a decent DEF if you look at the #'s...even though they got blew up by the Lions...LOL

According to FFtoday SOS NE has a favorable match up against SD...and SD will be missing VJ, Floyd, Gates. I know they're young but SD must be giving up the pts to DEF according to this:

I picked up SEA, dropped Atlanta.

someone dropped TEN, although they have been really good, I don't know if I should pick them up since they play PHI

If KC is somehow on your WW, now's the time to pick them up and keep them.JAXBUF@OAKetc. And McArenas is due.
Picked up the Chiefs for a minimum bid before the Indy game b/c of that upcoming schedule (airing them w/ Bears). I think the Chiefs will be especially tough at home , a la the Seahawks.

I picked up KC last week and ended up with -2.
Before you decided to pickup said defense, did you bother to check as to who they were playing in week 6? Last time I checked, Houston can score a little.I currently have ATL/Dallas and I'm leaning towards dropping Dallas for KC with that schedule. Dallas is just mind boggling.

Here is what I see:

1. Seahawks at home against the Cardnals

2.. 49ers at the Panthers

3. Sleeper: Rams at the Bucs
I'm starting to think the Rams defense is only good at home. Although a lot of that might be sour grapes because I started them @ the Lions

Jags look pretty rough tonight. I haven't been buying the KC defense--even with good returners, DST touchdowns are a hard thing to count on--but next week could be nice. Probably my second-favorite wire pickup after Washington @ Bears.

I really like Washington's D vs the Bears this week. Da Bear's pass protection has been abysmally bad the last few weeks... And I think Martz is too stubborn to change his (lack of) pass protection schemes. Bummer for Cutler.

All those look fine, especially 49ers D vs Panthers... But it's not likely that the 49ers' D is available on most WW's. And the other two defenses are also not available in my 12-team league's WW.

I know Denver is dealing with injurys on D, but div home game <---this input is more for discussion, and obviously if teams like TENN (leading in sacks) is not avilable....

Im glad someone mentioned Washington, they only have 4 picks, but could actually improve more as the season continues (imho)

They have been on my wire since the game the offense gave away all those td's I picked them up and played them this past Sunday against Oakland so maybe I just assumed they might be on waivers out there but I could be wrong. The Seahawks are on waivers and I am considering dropping the 49ers for them. The seahawks get oakland in week 8 as well.

picked up KC last week for the sole purpose of starting them for the next 3 weeks (JAX, BUF, @OAK)
* KC has JAX, BUF, OAK, (DEN), ARI, SEA coming up and has some great young returners. * SEA has ARI, OAK, (NYG), ARI coming up and Leon Washington on returns.

KC just became quite possibly the pickup and play of the week.

They are playing at home against JAX (already a good play against) who could be starting 38 year old Todd Bouman.

He last played for New Orleans in 2005. :lmao:

Jaguars may start Todd Bouman Week 7

According to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times Union, Jaguars players have been talking like Todd Bouman is expected to start in Week 7.

David Garrard is dealing with a concussion, and Trent Edwards has a banged-up thumb. Patrick Ramsey was also brought in, but it will be Bouman who gets the nod if both Garrard and Edwards can't go. The 38-year-old hasn't thrown a pass in an NFL game since 2005. Make sure the Kansas City fantasy defense isn't left on waivers. They'll be a recommended Week 7 start.
Jags sign QB Todd Bouman as backup
The 38-year-old Bouman has played in 42 games with six starts for Minnesota and New Orleans. He spent four weeks on Jacksonville's roster in 2007 and spent time with the club during training camp in 2008 and 2009.

He signed with Baltimore before the 2008 opener and spent the entire season with the Ravens. He was the team's No. 3 quarterback for the final 10 weeks, including the postseason.

Who do you guys like better this week...and then going forward:

Ravens - Buffalo this week

KC - JAX this week

Both available in my WW.

Yes, I'm liking that one more and more. They play better at home anyway -- 6 sacks in 2 games (I believe they have 4 in 3 road games), 12ppg (including 7 which came on the last play of garbage time against SF).

Bouman/Ramsey is a disaster. Chiefs will be pissed after 2 close losses @IND and @HOU. This could be a shutout.

Due to availability I nabbed Seattle (Dropped Indy). Arizona homer who really wants this to backfire though.

Seattle at home vs. a rookie QB in his 2nd start is appealing, even with them coming off a bye

and WR's likely healthy. Either them or SD vs. NE. Can see SD defense on the field all day in that game given their offensive injuries. Not good.

Would gladly like to get about 6 points out of Seattle and see the Cards win this game.

Dropped SD and picked up both off the wire this week.

Looking forward to some juicy matchups over the next several weeks!

Thanks to an earlier reply with this combo suggestion going forward :lmao:
