Week 8 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Picked up Donald Lee as bye week replacement instead of Dustin Keller. Looking like the difference in the game. :wall:

 
I picked a great week to procure and start the Cards defense in each of my leagues.

Also made them my Eliminator pick. So much for trusting precedent. :confused:

 
Cards D + getting sucked into the B.Wells projections = Sucky week across the board :cry:

Cards will be the biggest drop of the week and will probaly rebound for 2 TDs and 8 sacks next week.

 
Benched Chris Johnson and started Slaton in his place because of Hou v Buff matchup and I wanted to see how Vince Young's first start went. :cry:

 
Thought about playing Favre over Schaub because of the return to Lambeau, but figured the Pack would stop him and allow Peterson to have a big day.

Had Nicks and Sims-Walker active and Jennings on the bench.

I play Favre and Jennings and I'm up 40 with my opponent still having Roddy White and Shockey tomorrow night. As it is I'm only up nine and expect to lose by the end of the first quarter.

Don't feel bad. I benched Gore this morning for Brown as well. Figured S.F. would be playing from behind the whole day. Next time I'll take into account that the game starts out tied. :thumbup:
 
:unsure: I'm going to lose to an inactive owner.

How inactive? He started Wes Welker...on a bye.

Schaub, Ronnie Brown, Grant and MSW all seriously underperformed for me. And Josh Scobee, my bye week kicker put up a goose-egg. Josh...welcome back to the waiver wire.

Meanwhile, I'm going up against the Chris Johnson and his 30+ points.

I'm already down by four, and I don't have anyone going tomorrow. He still has Bush and Gonzo going tomorrow. You don't think they'd combine for no yards and three fumbles, do you?

 
I listened to some as.s.hat in here and picked up Northcutt instead of Bryant Johnson, whom I said I wanted. I lost by 4 points.

Picked up Cards D last week for this matchup; Ravens on bench. Picked Cards in a survivor pool.

Daniels is only TE on my roster.

Fun day.

 
Cutler....seriously? Every QB is tearing up the Browns, and you put up a game like this? And my opponent started Mark freaking Sanchez against me today...

 
i hate taking over teams half way through a season

in a league where the average points per week is around 75...i scored 45

My team blew major chunks this week losing to the team that put up 2nd least points. IF any of these chumps had put up double digits - I win.

What a sneaky pick on my part in the Best Buy Challenge. Slaton as my bonus player, AND I tagged him. Nice job, butterfingers.

Every week on fantasy sites, there seems to be a consensus that certain players are "great matchups".

In my 15+ yrs. of playing they always seem to be fairly good choices to make to "play the matchup".

However, this year seems to be the opposite. Far more games have been the opposite of what has been predicted.

Just my opinion. Makes it very fustrating. You always play your studs, but it's the other choices that win or lose each week.

Agree! Went ARZ Def (-3.5) & Fitz (9.6).

Traded away J Stew & R Bush

The only blessing is opponent played GB Def (-6.0)

Sat Hoss (22) & Played Fitz (0.7) --> overthinking!!

Hold a narrow margin lead.... they have Colston.

I played a witch.

I have not beaten this guy in three years. His teams are never great, yet he beats me every time I play him. Three times last year alone.

This week (despite a 2-5 record against my 5-2 record) he looks primed to beat me (barring a nothing day from his Matt Ryan and stellar days from my Brees and Lofton) by starting the likes of Hightower, Rob Bironas, Daryl Smith...guys that performed over their heads - while my guys all collectively took a week off. Dude just has my number, oh well.

Here's hoping that Brees and Lofton go nuts so I can end the curse of this witch.

Delhomme had less than a 100 yards and one TD, didn't he? And Steve Smith only 56 yards and a TD?What were you hoping for? Two zeros?

Damn witch. Wound up beating me by 1.5 points...had the onside kick not been recovered - Ryan doesn't get the extra yards and I win.
 
I went to bed last night up 133.25 to 131.65

I got up this morning to find I lost, 131.25 to 131.65 - I guess MFL had a official stat correction overnight, but I don't know where I lost the points..

The one game all year I start Lance Moore because of byes I need 4 measly points from him in ppr. He gets 3 with 40 minutes left in the game and then completely disappears the rest of the game :towelwave:

His time on my roster is officially over. What a waste.

 
Missed the cut in the Subscriber Contest by .6 pt and had Scobee as my K missing an XP. :goodposting:

I LOST BY .9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ####! Oh and I scored 3rd most pts this week too.

If PT sneaks it in from the 1, if Schaub throws one less INT, if Carney doesnt miss that FG, if Gonzo gets one more catch, if Arizona gets more than 1 ####in sack... Now my season is over at 2-6 instead of still having a shot at 3-5.
