GregR, where do you find these changes? I went to the Elias website last week and couldn't find a link to anything. I went to the NFL website and couldn't find anything there either.

Reason I'm asking is this: In Wk 3, the Chargers defense/special teams was awarded a fumble recovery on MFL, yet on CBS it never was registered and I had to do a score adjustment for the team who started the Chargers. I couldn't find verification of the fumble recovery, but I took MFL's stats as a better indicator of fact than CBS, whom I've never trusted.

Thanks for any help you could provide.

From an MFL league while logged in as a commissioner you can go to For Commissioner -> Statistics Changes (which is also where you apply them or set it to auto apply them each week). If you're not on MFL at all, they have a spot in their site news that lists stat changes you can still access.

They always come out Thursday morning.

Okay, I knew that about MFL as I commish a league there.....I just thought there was another source for the info.

Which brings me to another question/dilema. I just don't understand how CBS could have a different set of stats or have incorrect stats. Yes, I have checked and re-checked my scoring setup on CBS many, many times. Been there 9 years now and I usually have a number of scoring issues like this every year. It is one of the many reasons I am pushing real hard to make the switch to MFL next year and currently have the league registered over at MFL as well as CBS this year.

(Yes, I am making the league do all transactions for the same league on 2 websites so that they can see the difference between the two. BTW, I did not force this on them, they voted for it.)

If you could keep track of what differences there are each week, I would love to see the results at the end of the season.

Sure Greg, be glad to.Right now, the only differences this year have been the fumble recovery by the Chargers D/ST in Wk 3 that didn't register on CBS. It is not listed in the stats changes for Wk 3, so I just don't know why CBS missed it. Another difference was an additional fumble recovery by the Steelers D/ST in Wk 2, which eventually was corrected on CBS without my having to make any scoring adjustments. It came through on Tuesday morning.

I was hoping that the fumble given to Eli Manning would be changed to Jacobs, but no dice. They left it as a QB exchange fumble. I lost by a half point.

I can't stand Jacobs.

Unfortunately a standard stat thing they do. When a RB fumbles the exchange, no matter how much its his fault, it always goes to the QB. Its annoying.

I just looked at the play by play on NFL.com for it and might be able to help shed some light:2-10-SD 42 (1:48) (Shotgun) 8-M.Hasselbeck pass deep right to 83-D.Branch for 42 yards, TOUCHDOWN. The Replay Assistant challenged the fumble ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) 8-M.Hasselbeck pass deep right to 83-D.Branch to SD 1 for 41 yards (27-P.Oliver). FUMBLES (27-P.Oliver), ball out of bounds in End Zone, Touchback. So the play in question, the offensive player fumbled the ball through the end zone and out of bounds which is a turnover. The official NFL stats will show a fumble lost by the Seahawks, but if you look at the Chargers players you won't find any individual with a fumble recovered.I bet that's where the difference in them was. MFL is including all fumble turnovers gained by the NFL team's defense or special team (the note on the scoring category mentions this), while CBS is only counting fumble turnovers for which a defensive player is listed with a recovery.

Thanks Greg for checking on that.....wasn't necessary, but it is appreciated. I will now have to take this to my rules committee to see how we want to handle this moving forward. I think if it was left completely up to me it would stand as a point earned by the D/ST, but my league-mates might feel otherwise. Thanks again!(What is interesting is that CBS is apparently looking for turnover recovery confirmation by looking at individual defensive player stats, if in fact your suspicions are true. If it scored as a turnover while the D/ST was on the field, as opposed to a forced fumble not recovered by the D/ST, what difference does it matter if it was recovered or not? A turnover occurred via fumble, so it should be credited to the D/ST....at least in my eyes. I hate CBS.)

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins * Davone Bess: from 0 Rushes to 1 Rush for -3 Yards. * Dolphins: from 20 Rushes for 95 Yards to 21 Rushes for 92 Yards. * Chad Henne: from 29 of 39 for 302 Passing Yards to 28 of 38 for 305 Yards. * Dolphins: from 31 of 45 for 317 Passing Yards to 30 of 44 for 320 Yards. * Dolphins: from 305 to 308 Net Passing Yards. * Davone Bess: from 9 Receptions for 93 Yards to 8 Receptions for 96 Yards. * Davone Bess: from 12 to 11 Pass Targets.
I saw this play when it happened and couldn't believe it when they ruled it a pass. It was clearly a backwards throw and I knew that it would be changed In checking the play by play I found out it happedn with 5:41 left in the first half. I don't understand why the stat people can't check stuff like this out at halftime and make the correction before the game is finished.

I am a long time FF player but a first time commissioner. I'm the commish in a no frills free Fleaflicker league. Family and friends at 25 bucks a head. They haven't changed Henne's passing yards from 302 to 305. The Henne owner lost by .06 when in fact he should have won by .06. I guess I'm supposed to manually make the adjustment and piss off the original winner? This sucks. The lame part too is that NFL.com has Henne's YTD stats show 305 passing in game 4 but when you click on the game 4 boxscore, it still shows 302 yards passing. This is not gonna go over well.

The "original" winner wasn't the original winner. Make the adjustment. If I'm the Henne owner I'd be more pissed that the actual stats for the game weren't used to correct a website scoring mistake and I was forced to take a loss when in fact I had really won. Let the false stats winner cry all he wants......does he really want to win on false stats?

Yes, I will do the right thing here. I looked at weeks 1-3 and saw that Fleaflicker's game stats match up with all of the stat corrections that went through after the games that next Thursday. I'm hopeful that Fleaflicker will change this on their own. I sent them an email to this effect. If they don't change it then I will manually do it.

cribbs stat change is complete bs. it was a wildcat play in which he had no intention of passing and ran straight into the line. i have never seen wildcat plays ruled sacks before. this seems like a huge error by the nfl. yes i lost on this play and am obv livid.

I agree since they didn't give a sack a few weeks back when Ronnie Brown did the same thing

cribbs had been sacked 0 times in his career prior to this.

ronnie and ricky combined for 3 career sacks so i suppose there is sliiiiiiight precedent.

Turned my win into a loss, lmfao, only in fantasy football....

One thing I find pathetic is it takes until Thursday to get the stat corrections, thats unacceptable given how much fantasy football has an impact and what it mat do to the gambling world.

I guy lost in our league in week 5 when Idonije was docked 1/2 a sack because after the play was dead Urlacher fell on the pile (on top of Idonije) and got awarded a 1/2 sack.

I made a joke that a family member of Urlacher's must have been charge of the correction..lol
