Heck if mathews groin is bad, this Brinkley kid looks awesome.
How bad is Tolberts injury though? Would he not be ready next week?Heck if mathews groin is bad, this Brinkley kid looks awesome.
I'm wondering about the viability of those Raiders WRs for the rest of this season. Saw on a NFL N crawl that Palmer had the Raiders work-out TJ Houshmandzadeh; appears he wants TJ as his slot guy. I'm sensing zero value for Moore/Ford the rest of this season if the Raiders accommodate Palmer by signing TJH.A few names not mentioned in this thread, probably only for 14+ leagues:
-Dez Briscoe, got 47 snaps and 10 targets to Benn's 18 & 1 in their last game.
-E Bennett, Cutler likes him and he should be back this week.
-D Alexander, Clayton looks like he will be placed on the IR, Gibson is pedestrian. The big problem, of course, is health.
-C Ivory, got only 6 carries because the game got out of hand, but if Ingram remains out I could see 10-12 touches this week.
-Raider Wrs D Moore & J Ford, with Palmer having another week to get adjusted, these guys could make an impact.
Well played.I may be high, but Jerome Simpson could be worth a look. He had an impressive number of targets before the bye and had a TD on Sunday.
IMPRESSIVEcongrats, you play in much more shallow leagues than I doNo. Cruz and Ballard. If Nicks is out for a bit, Ramses Barden?
One can't just disregard this. Why would the Raiders bother working out TJ when they have all those supposedly talented receivers? No chemistry developing between Palmer and Moore/Ford?I'm wondering about the viability of those Raiders WRs for the rest of this season. Weren't we having this same discussion like 4 weeks ago?Damian Williams looks like he is getting into the discussion. Putting up decent numbers and coming into a role that ten really needs. Wait, that is very vague. Ten needs all roles.
Having a player mentioned more than once as a ww add bodes well for them. Now I'm shifting gears and saying that Jon Baldwin is the pickup this week.Weren't we having this same discussion like 4 weeks ago?Damian Williams looks like he is getting into the discussion. Just diagnosed with a concussion.Tell you what. Curtis Brinkley is looking like LeGarrette Blount out there hurdling would be tacklers and is about to outscore Mathews on the night in crunchtime.

Ward does throw a wrench into the A. Brown and Sanders shows. They look so smooth as a threesome with Wallace, but Ward ruins both those guys when he comes back. Still nice, but a lot more hit or miss. Shame too, as Ward's had his day in the FF sun.McFadden's status is still in question for this week. I've been sitting on #1 ww priority for four weeks in the Michael Bush league and I think this is probably the one to pull the trigger on.Who are you guys thinking of dropping for Ringer? I mean he's still pretty much a lottery ticket at this point, right?
Thanks...I had forgot someone dropped Bush and I've got DMC...time for the handcuff if I can pick him up. Any Raiders homers think Taiwan Jones makes a push if DMC is out this weekend?McFadden's status is still in question for this week. JBDBBOin that orderSo how are we feeling about J. Baldwin vs D. Baldwin vs Obamanu? My inclination is 1)DB 2)BO 3)JB.
I think they would call up Todman from PS since he knows the offense and use Hester as the #2 with Todman in emergencySeems like all 3 SD chargers are banged up. Who's next in line? Do they call up someone? Jacob Hester in line for some carries? Mathews (groin), Brinkley (concussion) Tolberts expected to carry the load but hes still recovering from a concussion and those could be iffy. Jacob Hester worth a shot in case Tolbert can't go? If not, who's 5th on the list??Also keep in mind the very short week seeing that the Chargers played Monday.
Short week for the team as a whole, yes, but more days "off" for Tolbert as he recovered from his ailments & missed MNF, meaning he has the edge in the derby here, IMO.EDIT: Appearing on NFL Network's Around the League Live, Jason LaCanfora suggested Mike Tolbert (hamstring) will resume starting and "get a lot of carries" this week against the Packers. While Ryan Mathews' (groin) status is "up in the air for right now," the Chargers "feel good" about Tolbert being able to play this week. Tolbert will have to pass tests on Wednesday, but it sounds like he's being counted on as the primary runner for Week 9. The San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee and NBC San Diego's Michael Gehlkin both agree with LaCanfora that Tolbert could be headed for a heavy workload this week.Seems like all 3 SD chargers are banged up. Had the choice between Ringer and Baldwin and decided to go Baldwin because of his upside. Between owning Demarco Murray, Michael Bush and Reggie Bush, I simply didn't want another "second fiddle". I like Baldwin's matchup this week and plan on starting him.Picked up Crabtree this week from the wire. But, Jonathan Baldwin is still out there, and I am on the fence with who to target. I own Bowe, so I am inclined to stick with Crabby - but I feel like Baldwin may have a higher ceiling. I just don't think I would ever feel comfortable starting both KC wr's and would likely never start Baldwin over Bowe. But, at the end of the day you should pick the player you think will score more fantasy points. How do you guys value these two?
I'm also targeting Crabtree as waivers are to be awarded tonight. Don't forget about Steve Breaston in the KC mix. I'm also a Bowe owner and I don't see Baldwin continuing to have the targets moving forward as he did Monday Night. Great pickup getting CrabsPicked up Crabtree this week from the wire. Supposedly Obomanu and (Big) Mike Williams play the same position, so if Mike Williams plays for SEA, Obomanu sits...and don't count on any SEA WRs if Whitehurst plays again. So how are we feeling about J. Baldwin vs D. Baldwin vs Obamanu? My inclination is 1)DB 2)BO 3)JB.
I'm banking on this and making my moves accordingly.'footballnerd said:barring injury Ten won't be making Ringer the primary
Giants | Ramses Barden to see more workhard for a guy to come off PUP in the 1st week eligible. I don't think they consider Devin Thomas a WR candidate and I'm not sure Jernigan is ready based off all training camp reports.Just a flier to take, with nobody really emerging as a candidate in deeper leagues he's worth a shot especially dynasty leagues where he's sitting out there. Many times throughout his career he's been on the cusp, but things haven't broken his wayIm pretty sure I read that they werent taking him off the PUP listETA: I guess it was for last week and now they have 2 weeks to decide what to doAs a Giants fan, Barden just got off the PUP and no way he's pup ahead of Cruz and Manningham. Jernigan or Devin Thomas have more value as Giants WRs.If Nicks is out for a bit, Ramses Barden?

If this is true, then it bodes well for David Nelson (who is available in a lot of leagues) to go back to the slot and resume the production he had earlier in the year, no?donald jones is back for buffalo

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said WR Ramses Barden (ankle), who is still on the Physically Unable to Perform list, will see more work in practice this week with WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) banged up.

With WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) and WR Mario Manningham (illness) out of practice, Ramses Barden took “a good portion” of the snaps with the first team offense on Wednesday. He’s still on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, but he’ll almost certainly be activated by Saturday.
He could play a big role, too, especially if Nicks’ hamstring hasn’t healed in time. If that happens, Barden said he’s “ready to go.”
“I’m hungry, I’m excited, my body is bouncing back and it feels ready to do anything I ask it to,” said Barden, who has been on PUP all season while recovering from ankle surgery. “I can only talk so much about it. It’s been a while and I’m just ready to let my body speak for me.”

The New York Giants are expected to activate WR Ramses Barden (ankle) from the Physically-Unable-To-Perform (PUP) list by Saturday, Nov. 5. 'I'm hungry, I'm excited, my body is bouncing back and it feels ready to do anything I ask it to,' Barden said.

Nearly a year after breaking his leg, Ramses Barden is back on the Giants' 53-man roster.
The team activated the third-year wide receiver off the physically-unable-to-perform list today, meaning he'll likely suit up and play Sunday against the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Mass. Barden figures to play a prominent role because wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has been downgraded from doubtful to out because of a hamstring injury he aggravated on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
