Zoos are (I believe) historically purposed to wildlife preservation and research. I'm not certain if that is still how most zoos operate, but it's a far cry from the circus. Not implying you suggested that, but I do think many people feel bad about animals in zoos (including myself) without knowing that zoos were traditionally established for the protection of certain wildlife species.I feel bad sometimes for animals in zoos too.
Great, now what're all those creepy ### clowns going to do? We may really need Batman.
I'd think they'd be happy with less competition.Looking forward to Fox News expose on the war on circus.
Wait, you don't really think people were upset just because they had elephants performing, do you?Really bummed about this. So tired of self appointed morality police deciding what i should or should not be doing/watching/entertained by. I get it, people may not like their product, so don't go. But if I don't have a problem with it then don't take it way from me.
Discusted.
That was like 70 years ago.Circuses aren't real popular up here in Hartford. :(
Yeah, but it's still such a part of Hartford history. One of the worst disasters in American history. My mom lost several friends and neighbors in that fire. That was like 70 years ago.
Well if Higgs is 140 years old that helps explain his views on race. That was like 70 years ago.
You guys still bummed about the Whalers?Yeah, but it's still such a part of Hartford history. One of the worst disasters in American history. My mom lost several friends and neighbors in that fire.
They're coming back Reg, didn't you hear? You guys still bummed about the Whalers?
I agree that most of the themes were extremely cheesy and I can't wait to get out of there. But one year it was about Bello The Clown. Guy was involved in almost all of the performances. I was actually entertained.saintfool said:i took my son to a Ringling Bros show a couple of years ago. It was at the United Center. It was some bullcrap show that pitted boys against girls, complete with stereotypical pink versus blue costumes for the performers. I thought it was pretty dumb as a theme. Worst part was the music that was cranked to 11. We left after 20 minutes. I had a different experience as a kid with Gunter Gable Williams and whatnot. I wouldn't spend another dime on them because it's a so freakin lame now.
There's one right there.Soulfly3 said:they beat and torture the #### out of animals.
morality police? how about just a little effing compassion?
no worries about zoos mateNREC34 said:I feel bad sometimes for animals in zoos too.
Aren't cirque du soleil tickets super spendy? Not sure below avg FBGs like me would have taken kids to see that. They could have evolved into what cirque de soleiel is now and still been running strong.
Gotta use the E ticket man. Only good ones in the book.Everything Disney related is way too expensive, imo.
I'm about a 3 or 4 hour drive away from Orlando and it's just not worth the price they charge for tickets to the park, food, etc. Then you have to wait for hours, literally, in some lines for a 3 minute ride. The hell with that.
County fair comes to mind.People were still going to the circus? Can't think of much I'd want to do less.
Making circuses great again.Too much competition from the Trump presidency.
