Westbrook backup? (1 Viewer)

Rounders

Footballguy
I'm trying to handcuff my first pick and I'm confused on who the backup is for Westbrook? I know that Westbrook has a balky knee and over the past few seasons has missed a couple of games to it (some of them are last minute changes), so I felt it important to have his backup just in case.

I see on the FBG depth charts and Mike Herman's big picture that Buckhalter is the backup, but I recall someone saying that Booker was brought in because his skill set matches Westbrook. Buckhalter has his own injury history to consider too.

So who is it? Buckhalter or Booker? Who is worth rostering as protection?

Definitely Buckhalter........ until he goes down AGAIN. :lmao:

Booker will get a few carries here and there though, and if Bucky goes down again, he'll get a bit more by default. He's still young and is a part of a new team already, so he still has a learning curve ahead of him. I don't see him getting anything significant until at least next year. And that doesn't even include Westbrook being the man in Philly...

I think it may be a case of Buckhalter if it is a short term injury to Westbrook but Booker if Westbrook woul dbe out for games at a time. I can't speak for the Eagles, but I would guess that Buckhalter would be a quick fix and Booker has a better all around game and skill set (but might be less prepared on a moment's notice).

I keep thinking that Lorenzo Booker is not a quality NFL back and I havent seen evidence to the contrary yet.

Eagles fan here who's watched all three Eagles games so far. Booker looks terrible. He's not instinctual, bounces everything outside, and is small. He's not very shifty either. Buck looks good and has a real burst this year that we haven't seen since his rookie year. He's the guy for sure to handcuff if you are going to handcuff. But neither is going to be worth starting week in week out if Westbrook goes down. Reid will probably pass it 80 times a game if Westbrook goes down...

80 times a game spread among who Hank Baskett, Jason Avant, D Jackson, Lj Smith??? In a PPR league I would say Booker would be a better cuff then Buckhalter, in non ppr league Buck
