***WFT at Philly***(-6.5) O/U 41.5. The Pfizer Philly Cheesesteak Bowl (1 Viewer)

Gilbert… not bad for a guy signed in Thursday eve and just started learning the playbook on Friday…. Pretty impressive actually

yeah and 8 of those 10 have been from inside the five....stealing points from his RB

Pulled it together after some shutty performance in the first quarter
To be fair....was one fluke interception and one silly fumble...they DID move the ball.

Overall a pretty solid performance, which was nice to see after thatb disastrous start

Sanders break it off!! If he's even in the game. And he's not. Game over for me.
did he see a single touch past middle of third quarter? Had a great game but seemed they decided they didnt need to risk him any more. Probably the right choice for the team, but frustrated he STILL hasn't gotten 6

This was sort of coming the whole way. Philly stunk it up the first quarter with some crucial mistakes, but were moving the ball, continued to move the ball, and just sort of overwhelmed an undermanned WFT.

Sanders did not touch the ball since 5 mins left in the 3rd quarter. I'll never understand that.

Rock.  I thought you were a friend.  Damn that’s cold
unckeyherb, we are friends. You make too much sense too often not to be simpatico in my book. There's no schadenfreude there, consider it commiserating. (I know you're kidding.)

I took Ruggs over Jefferson in dynasty, which was not necessarily the play that year. My team still reels from the deed. So I can relate to the Eagles.

But what I can't figure, and could never figure, was that the Eagles wanted speed. Reagor had never been a college producer because, as was explained by the scouts, his QB play was poor. But during the combine, Jefferson ran a 4.38 or something. Reagor ran a 4.47. If you want speed and breakaway play ability, why the slower guy? I know forties have faults and GPS tracking will become the standard, but it seems like Jefferson has that, too.

I just didn't understand it at the time (though like I said, I was not certain) and I'm surprised Philly missed it.

Crazy stuff, this wide world of sports.

Let's end this positively. You guys have three picks in the first round and an up-and-coming QB (no matter how much some dislike him). A great line, a well-above average running back, a thin but effective receiving corps. The future is indeed bright.

I kept looking at the Washington uniforms and saying "who is that guy?" They had no shot at winning this game and I'm surprised they only lost by 10. Congrats Eagle fans.

Thanks bud and yes of course it was in jest.

and to be clear, literally no one in Philly-not one-had Reagor on their boards.  The Jefferson pick was so obviously the right choice, however that many of us knew it was not going to happen.  This is the Howie-effect, or maybe just the Eagles effect.  They have a long rich history of “bucking the consensus” to instead making a migraine-inducing pick.  Reagor/Jefferson is not unlike Earl Thomas/Brandon Graham, or taking a 26 year old fireman with their first pick.  Now granted Brandon Graham became a super bowl hero, but in the moment and for years the pick was a dander flying head scratcher.  This is the way.

I have three words for a measuring contest of ineptitude: New. York. Jets.

Heh. LOL. Enjoy your night, unckey.

I'm not a Philly fan but you are correct that nobody except the Eagles had Reagor over Jefferson at #21.. I'm guessing most teams had a second round grade on him. He is the exact opposite of guys like Jerry Jeudy when it comes to running routes.
