What’s the movie? (1 Viewer)

I’m getting old now and my mind is going. I seem to remember some things but not all things. So help me out. 
 

There was a movie, and I believe at the end there’s a battle in a rooftop penthouse. Above the penthouse is a pool. During the the gun battle, the pool bursts and the two good guys get swept away. But luckily they are in handcuffs and a pipe saves them from getting washed off the building. 

I thought it might be Will Smith. Possibly a white guy and a black guy. For the life of me, I can’t think of what movie this is.

Yeah.  This was close to what I was thinking. But I think it was actually Shrek II.
