What are people with # 3 pick doing this year? (1 Viewer)

Interested in what you guys (and girls) who have the number three pick are doing in this years draft. I will be drafting tomorrow in my main league and cannot choose between MJD, Ray Rice or Micheal Turner. Our league in a td heavy league and is not ppr...For the record I', not a big Frank Gore guy.

MJD - I thought he was the obvious choice, but I'm a little nervous to pick him at number three with his knee issue. Beyond that I'm not crazy about Jax poor offense.

Turner - The man had a td in 7 out of the eight games he started last season. He was the #2 back of 2008 and is the only game in town in Atlanta

Rice - Gotta love the fact that he is going to get a ton of catches and can take it to the house on any carry. Would be my choice if it wasn't for Willis McGahee taking so many td's away.

Who would you guys take at # 3?

I had put a post on this board this week suggesting that Micheal Turner should be the number three pick. I'm in a similar postion to you and have decided I am going with Turner.

I agree that MJD is a huge risk that early when you don't really know what the condition of his knee is going to be a month from now. Another site posted an article with a doctor that said Jones Drew could have issues and that if there is someone on the board nearly as good you should go with that guy to be on the safe sife.

Rice is a good ball player, but McGahee will kill his value. I think he may lose some catches (not that many) and is not a real force around the goal line. If he would score more I would rate him higher than what I have him.

Turner is a scoring machine when healthy and you won't have to deal with a vulture like Mcgahee with him.

To sum up I would go against that masses and choose Michale Turner. In reality you can't go wrong with any of these guys.

Similar situation as OP. Non ppr, worried about MJDs knee and offense. Right now I'm leaning Turner, but I'm kinda trying to convince myself to take Gore. Schedule is cake AND I'm a 49er fan, which would make watching him all the more fun (assuming he performs). Just have to overcome the "value" perception. Right now I'm probably

60% Turner

20% Gore

20% MJD

Had the 3 last night in a competitive money league, no ppr. I went Gore, his schedule is way too favorable compared to a dinged up already MJD on a team I think might implode. Rice gives up too many TD's to Willis and I think his receptions drop to 50 max this year with the new weapons. Turner I wouldn't take anywhere in the top 6.
