I say 70%. The teams can easily play in empty stadiums, testing should(hopefully) be more available by then, and ticket sales aren't how the league makes its money anymore. Of course, if it doesn't go forward, we might be in trouble with nothing to watch anymore.
Don't see games in empty stadiums for the same reason I contended it was never a long term possibility for the NBA/March Madness.  It simply can't be safe to keep large groups in locker rooms/planes/hotels, with physical contact with sweat everywhere if it's not safe for people to simply sit in the stands.

This is very plausible as well. It does depend on if they figure out what the virus is doing over the rest of spring and into summer, and that should give them an idea on what to do. Honestly, the NFL got super lucky this happened when it did, because they're the only league that wasn't either gearing up for the playoffs or kicking off spring training.

Sorry if this was covered already but does anyone know how all of this works in professional sports with compensation to various parties?

Do the leagues still get all the money from their TV partners? Do the players still all get their pay even if no games are played or a reduction in games?

I'm not understanding how networks would have to pay for games that are not available or players get paid if no network TV money or gate/concession revenue?

Are networks or teams/leagues protected against this by insurance?
I can't speak to what is set up for the leagues or teams, but my insurance contacts tell me that there is catastrophic loss of business insurance coverage available for emergencies and acts of god. How that works, what it costs, what it covers, and how that is paid out would be things I have no answer to.

I don't see it working out as you describe it either. However, as I hypothesized earlier, if they could make sure none of the players were infected they could try something outside of the box. Ship off all the players to a place where the virus has not been a problem. Someplace that could house all of them with fields for them to play on and let them practice and play games. Maybe a military base on an island or an old college not being used. With no fans in attendance, no virus present among the players or community, and no travel involved, that COULD work. But I am not sure if the players would buy-in having to leave their families behind and be gone the entire season.

Yeah I just don't see that either due to the last part.  The only incentive for them to do this is television revenue, which I would agree is far from trivial.  I wish I could see a way it could happen but right now I don't, at least as scheduled.  I really wish college and pro football would start working on a delayed start even now.  There is time to plan, trim the schedule down.  Maybe at the collegiate level just play the conference schedules, something along those lines.  Granted, even postponing til mid-late October wouldn't guarantee anything.  It also could be worse if the summer does have an impact on the virus, which we have no way of knowing.

For what I do, we need to be somewhat sure.  This is going to get much worse before it gets better.  As I've said, this is a large and stupid, selfish country.  Do we think this is going to be like a train stopping at its station and everything will then be fine?   I may be strictly looking at this from an economic standpoint, but there wont be a summer, so to speak.  Vacations, rentals, tourism will be nil.  Trickle down is obviously noted.  For the NFL to come on line, you need OTAs open and training camps in July, which is 4 months away.  I think we have bigger issues right now than worrying if the NFL will have a season.  If they do, its solely a cash grab IMO.
If you are right, it will be more than CV killing people.  2 of the 3 people in my family will be murdered by December.

Slim and none.  I don't think we will see any major sports of any kind being played for the rest of 2020.
Trump is up there talking about turning the economy back on in like 3 weeks. The NFL is cartoonishly greedy and evil. I don’t see anyway, short or a worldwide cataclysmic event (which is possible!) they don't run those players out. I just don’t see it.

Trump is like a Master of Ceremonies at these D & P shows.

Just saw these posted:

When will the 2020 NFL regular season start?

On or Before Sept. 13th -400
After Sept. 13th +250

How much more contagious is this over other similar viruses?  All I have seen is that it is "really contagious".  How much more contagious is it?

Would you bet over or under 50% right now? Gun to head I say under. Vaccine is a year away. How can you fill stadiums in 5 months?

I've said in other threads way under 50% we have any sort of normal year out of football. I'd go under 50% for playing.

I would get a special kick out of seeing the homeless of our state take over a dormant SoFi in a way that would tickle my concession stand.
