The pats are going to be the first team to go 16-0 and the dolphins are going to be the first go go 0-16 (both in the regular season) and its in the same year, confrence and division!

this is the NFL and it hasnt happened yet. let's talk about this at halftime of week 16. I actually think the dolphins have enough pride that they will find a away to win one game

It actually does have relevance on both ends moron, especially with fantasy....with the Pats you can rest assured that they will be playing their starters through week 17 if they are playing for an undefeated season...the dolphins have enough pride?..so the past two weeks when they quit on the field they didnt have enough pride but going into these last few weeks theyre going to just now realize that they dont have a win? The Jets were supposed to be their best chance at a win...blownout. Now the bills were their last shot....blown out, and dont think that Baltimore is going to want to be the team that loses to the pathetic dolphins, that is a bunch of vets and I think theyre are going to lay the smack down on the Dolphins too.Can we just get this thread out of here quickly, it's of no football or ff worthiness and will only come to hate.

You're totally right, this ingenious, original, coherent and well thought out thread and post will probably be THE most relevant thread about the Pats yet. I used to feel that way. After this weekend? Not so much. Looks like the Dolphin's have mailed it in for the season. To get routed like that by the Bills and Jets, ugh.

Their best chance is probably against the Bengals. I don't see the Ravens giving up but I didn't watch them last night so I'm not sure if they already have. The Bengals on the other hand are inconsistent on offense and their defense is terrible. Miami has a chance if they play hard.

While it's true that the Dolphins would be the first team to go 0-16 in a season, as a lack of accomplishment it falls far short of the Bucs team that went a perfect 0-14 and then continued to lose the following season until they had built up an 0-26 consecutive game losing streak.
ETA: The Fins lost their final 3 games last season, so at the end of the year they'd have a consecutive 0-19 if they don't win one.

Disagree. The Bucs were a true expansion team. The Dolphins can make no such claim. I think an established team going 0-16 is MUCH worse than an expansion team starting out 0-26, especially given the lack of help expansion teams got in forming back then.

Well, there is a good argument to be made there, I agree. But 0-26 is still the record even if it was an expansion team. Good point though.

Is Cleo Lemon back starting this week? If the Ravens go with Troy Smith, the phins certainly have a chance (against Boller of course too). If Beck's in there, well....

Even if people consider that Baltimore or Cincy have mailed it in, I see both of those teams coming out and playing hard to avoid being "that" team that lost to the Dolphins this year...whether that means that they can still pull off a victory regardless remains to be seen.

With Lemon...they at least can put up 10-13 pts of offense. Throw in a Ginn Jr. runback and you have a potential victory against a pathetic offensive team (like the Ravens).Beck might be a good QB in the future, but he can't generate any offense this year for the Phins. If they stick with Beck for the rest of season, I say 0-16 is highly likely.
