What are you spending all your fantasy loot on? (1 Viewer)

i'm putting it towards next year's entry fees.

I guess that's a result of only playing 3 leagues and none with entry fees high enough to generate "windfall" money.

I remember one year being pumped that i won $1500.

Then I was humbled:

Me: Honey I won the championship - $1500! I wonder what i should spend it on?

Honey: What did you pay in entry fees for all your leagues?

Me: about $425

Honey: What other costs do you associate with your football hobby?

Me: oh.. $25 on FBG's, $7 magazine, another $18 on beer for the draft

Honey: ok, so about $475

Me: yeah!

Honey: what will next year cost?

Me: oh, about the same

Honey: what did last year cost when you won nothing?

Me: oh.... about the same

Honey: So, between paying for this year, making up for last year's zero, and having available fees for next year it's about $1500 eh?

Me: carry the one.... um, yeah

Honey: I think you just spent your winnings... on FFL.

Me: :mellow:

Seriously? the guy who has boatloads of security and money in the bank can't go out and splurge on $1,500 for himself without worrying about paying next year's entry fee???????Live a little chief.
 
The win is paying for our NYs eve night out, replacing my iPhone cracked screen, my busted sideview mirror on my car, and maybe a PS3 for me self. Undecided on that last one. I would take a Hawaiian vacation, but I'm banking the rest instead. ;)

 
2nd place in 2 out of 3 leagues, what a let down, $550 in winnings - just gonna go blow it on either blackjack or poker.

i think that's the problem.I can go spend that kind of money on myself at any time. I don't really need a "prize" to make it ok.combine that with the fact that I really am blessed to not have any serious wants.I can think of some things i want that are like $30K, 150k, or 500k that i want, but not really anything in the $500-1000 range.

ThisWon $550 and will payoff some of my Christmas purchases and hit a spa for some "Me" time.
 
I've got winnings coming, but they don't cover my costs for the year and I only broke even last year.

4 leagues costing $565 and I will only collect $325 in winnings. Two years in a row without a championship after winning at least one for 8 straight years sucks.

Net winnings about $220.00....first place for 2nd consecutive year and the last 6 that I have been in a Yahoo league with mixed FBGs/guppies. With the winnings plus Best Buy gift cards from Christmas I am eying a pair of Bose noise-cancelling headphones. Music never sounded so good with those on!!

Had a nice season. I'm netting about $525 + another $150 from draftstreet

I'm getting a green Kate Spade bag from Nordstroms instead of the wide angle lens I was thinking about

Champ in office league ($300) - back to back baby

3rd in "money" league : ($900) - Boo

Taking 300 down to Harrahs and Horseshoes casinos n Tunica with the runner up in the office league today... little blackjack/craps time. Rest goes toward christmas bills.
