Maybe it's just me, but after watching both Pats games on rewind, I don't understand a lot of the "Pats unstoppable this season" talk. They look good to me, but I saw lots of problems on the defense, and when pressure was put on Brady, it looked rough.

I think it's a bit early to anoint any team, especially one that has some glaring issues (like most other teams do, this early)
Brady threw for 450 against the Bills, man.
He threw 60 times, man. Any QB except Bradford will put up big numbers throwing that much.

Idk what pressure you are seeing on Brady, ignoring that every QB will look worse underpressure.

Hes been beating teams this year exactly like he did in the playoffs last year. Mismatches and getting rid of the ball before the defense can even get any pressure on him. Makes their Oline have to work nowhere near as hard.

I learned that FBG's can't rank defenses to save their arses.

Baltimore and St. Louis ranked top 3 by all and cost me big this week.

I sat AZ to start Balt. TYVM 19 point swing. :wall:
Baltimore lost Suggs, that loss was huge.
OK, I agree but it was Oakland. And if so, why didn't FBG's redo their rank?
Don't know about the others but I am pretty sure Dodds is busy putting the finishing touches on the perfect draft articles.

1.The Cowboys defense is a pretty solid unit, and should be pretty sick when mcclain, hardy, Gregory are back....Sean Lee and RoMac together soon.....losing Romo may not be a death blow to Dallas.....if he can back in a reasonable time frame.
I think they can wait unitl week 13 to bring him and Dez back and still win the East.

I learned after 21 years to stop taking myself and all of this so seriously. It's like playing bingo. In redraft, just try to build a solid, deep team and try not to overreact with crazy trades or early waiver wire moves. Also, do not gamble on one year rbs early. Yes, I have Jeremy Hill as my rb 2, but only cause fell to me at 23. I still grabbed L. Murray as my 3rd rb as insurance. So, we will see how that plays out.
Nail hit on the head.

I do this for fun. It's a silly hobby.
agreed.

Still, I take it way too seriously. I am in one free league, and that's it - no DFS or anything. I made a bad decision at QB - and I lost. Its a dumb game - I have more important things to worry about - I shouldn't let it get to me - but I did - I am mad at myself for being wrong.

Those 2 statements seem mutually exclusive. If there is to be a bell cow, then there can be no 1b.

Seattle and Indy are both 0-2, but of course Green Bay has had 2 losses early the last couple of years and made the playoffs but still.

Colts are in better position than the Seahawks as they can probably won the division with at 8-8.

Stud running back theory is dead. Dion Lewis and Danny Woodhead are here to stay. Oh yeah and Deangelo Williams is the top back right now.

You weren't wrong though. You guessed and guessed wrong. But it's just a guess. Kind of like trying to pick which lane to drive in. You guess right sometimes and guess wrong sometimes. But it's just guessing.

I think you're splitting hairs but I understand what you're saying. Bottom line is Hill is started the year the clear #1 and he's still the clear #1. People are reading too much into the situation of Hill getting benched for his 2 fumbles.

I think Woodhead will start to take a back seat to Gordon as the year goes on. He won't disappear from the offense but I think Gordon's role will continue to increase. Dion looks legit but Gray looked like he was a stud that would be here for years to come in that offense...BB scares me.

Yeah, they looked good, no doubt. I should of explained better. In a later post I noted that the Bills D played very poorly for the majority of the game.

I'm not bagging on the Pats. Just the folks hopping on the "unstoppable" bandwagon, thinking the AFC is over. It's too early.
Unless either brady, gronk or edelman get hurt its over in the AFC. Pats will win the championship with ease. The score was a lot closer than it needed to be pats slowed down a little in the 2nd and gave up big plays on defense as they were playing soft. Come playoffs there will be no easing up and they will put up 40+ every game in the playoffs.
Now that's a hot take! Good luck this season, buddy! :)
with ease he said!!!
What team in the AFC is a threat to NE. Last year was the colts and they still havent fixed their run stopping defense so goodluck. Peyton manning blows in the playoffs so again goodluck with them beating the pats. No one in the AFC will be anything close to them and they will win the AFC championship with ease unless like i said one of those 3 main guys gets hurt.
It's Week 2. At this point last season the Pats were being left for dead. As far as Manning sucking in the playoffs and not being able to beat the Pats, we'd need to go all the way back to 2014 for the last time Manning beat the Pats in the playoffs, so I guess I can see your point there.

Right now, Cinncy is looking very tough all around and there's a few teams that can beat the Pats if things break right, like Denver, Pitt (they were playing without Bell and Bryant), KC, SD and BAL.

The Pats are playing very well and have a legit chance of getting back to the SB of course, but it's a long season and they have some flaws that you seem to ignore.

Moncrief is the Colts WR to own after Hilton.
FYP
I wanted to write it your way but didn't want to offend any Hilton owners.
Not taking a side here with either guy, but just FYI - Hilton had 14 targets Week 1 but only 7 Week 2. I just finished watching the game and Hilton was hurting so bad this week that he limped or had to be helped off of the field a few times because of the banged up knee he got last week. He still stayed in the game as much as possible, but was just used as a decoy. Even in one on one matchups, Luck would hike the ball and not look Hilton's way first, as he oftentimes does.

I'd wait until Hilton can at least walk normally before writing him off.

The Broncos did beat the Patriots to go to the SB a couple of years ago, but the fact NE got to the AFCCG was one of life's great mysteries. No way should they have gotten that far, as they were a M*A*S*H unit by the end of the year.

Off the top of my head, Gronk was out and Hernandez in jail. Starting RT Vollmer had a broken leg and other OL members were hobbled. Vereen had just come back from a broken arm and Amendola had been banged up all season. The entire DL of Wilfork, Kelly, Siliga, and Carter were on I.R., as was MLB Mayo. By the time NE faced the Broncos, Brady was throwing to guys like street free agent Austin Collie, TE Michael Mulligan, TE Michael Hoomanawanui, and special teamer Matthew Slater who was pressed into taking snaps as a WR. And CB Talib got hurt in the first quarter.

Any team can go through a stretch with injury after injury, and no team with half of its starters out should be considered a favorite to go to the SB. It's a long way to go to January.

So you're confirming that Manning did beat the Pats in the playoffs recently. Thanks.

Pats are in for a stiff test this week in a battle of first place teams.

I have learned that drinking the NFL off season drama about the Patriots usually results in a silly buy in on the demise of the team and the notion that some AFC upstart will claim king of the hill status on the conference. Then the opening gun shoots and NE kicks the crap out of everyone again and again and again...

All true points. I remember many teams who pushed through adversity and made it further in the playoffs with key players gone from the roster. It was a great feat by the Pats, similar to almost one or two teams per year that face similar challenges to make it to the playoffs. Only fans of each team could tell you each individual injury, probably, so that's neither here nor there.
