What do you guys use for Draft Boards? (1 Viewer)

I was looking on eBay for draft boards & they all pretty much stop at 18 rounds. My draft is 25 rounds. Was curious to see what everyone else does as a lot of drafts are longer then 18. Thanks

We're having ours at a bar. They'll provide the board and $100 in free food (on next visit). I guess I can't guarantee they have a 25 round board, but they could probably just cut and tape 2 boards together if needed.

Before the projector, we had a couple white boards and a dry erase marker. It was difficult getting them somewhere for everyone to view. It worked though.

I use FanDraft. For the draft we just had last weekend, I hooked my computer up to my TV. Of course, no matter what I do, I still have the same idiot asking if someone was still available. We are in the 20th round, "Is Daniel Thomas still available?" My answer: "No, the starting RB for the Dolphins is not available in the 20th round." :wall:

Excel. Projector.
Ahhh that would have been cool. Just asked my boss to borrow the company one & he said no lol. Thanks though. Anyone else?
Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Before this we used to just get butcher paper and tape it to the wall.

They also sell paper whiteboards at office supply shops. Its like a giant post-it pad. You'd probably need to use 4-6 sheets but there is more than that in one pack. They stick to the wall like a post-it and won't leave a mark. You'd just have to draw the lines yourself.

DRAFTKIT.COM

12 Teams = 24 Rounds (just put one round under bottom line)

14-16 Teams = 30 Rounds

Been using them for years. Great pack For $20 including the board and all the player decals it's a no brainer.

FJ Fantasy does a great, free-standing draft board with included stickers by position and etc.

I've never heard a complaint about their product over the last decade of their being in business.

This is the first one I saw past 18 & has stickers to boot. This will work. Thanks man ( and to everyone else who made suggestions as well )

The guy who owns it is a friend of mine and in one of my leagues...just a very good person. I believe he also donates his overstock to the military (I could be wrong, but I think he did last year), so they can have their drafts overseas. Good, old school company worth supporting. Plus, about every other year he gets a typo, which is worth the $20+ in laughs itself.

We do this in a conference room were 4-6 of the league participants work. One tab has the depth charts for all NFL teams. It contains the history of our drafts from the last 5 years or so.

[*]Use Draft Dominator

to show 'just' the Draft Board on the External Screen (leaving the best player and player pool on your laptop).

Very cool feature, never knew about that. Thanks.

We used to use CBS for our leagues (thank god that ship sailed a long time ago) so we always used the Draft Board and Stickers they provided you. However, about 4 years ago, I moved and never received my Draft Kit. I was taking the trash out one night in August trying to think of an idea for a board, and lo and behold there was a big ### piece of styrofoam insulation (sold at places like Home Depot for about 8 bucks a sheet) laying by the dumpster at my apt complex. I took it inside, drew the lines on it myself (tedious, but not bad) and used that.

The following year all anyone could talk about was the awesome giant draft board and how much they loved writing in their own picks with a color coded marker (Blue=RB, Red=QB, etc.) so I had to actually go buy a piece and do it again. It didn't stay up on the wall very well (not heavy, but not light, and I'm not about to nail it into my wall in my home) so I started looking for a lighter alternative.

Last year I went to Hobby Lobby and bought 2 of those cardboard tri-fold stand up things (think Middle School Science Project?). Sticking 2 of them together gave me about a 7 foot long by 4 foot tall draft board (almost as big as the old styrofoam sheet) and worked perfectly as it is light enough that we never had to worry about it falling off the wall. I did still obviously have to draw the lines and what not on it, but my owners (And I!) absolutely love the walk up to the board to write your pick up. Lots of suspense as you wait to see which marker they will grab, and then watch them write it out. Lots of fun, and the cardboard version only ended up costing me about 6 dollars total.

Snapped a picture of last year's Cardboard board to show you exactly what we do. I'm getting ready to re-purpose the back side of it for this year's draft next week. It measures almost 5 feet tall and 8 feet wide, so even bigger than I was guessing.

:goodposting: Fantastic service! Been using them for over 5 years! We do our draft outside on a deck, so projectors no work in the sun! Classic draftboard.

this is a really elegant, inexpensive solution to this problem. and depending on what league management system you use, it can make uploading your draft results to your web site a piece of cake!

Create a free ESPN league - even if you use another service, only you need to make it and no one has to join. They have offline draft board software you can download if you go to LM tools and then click download the offline draft app..

Then you put your computer on your TV with HDMI, VGA etc. It has no player rankings or ADP up there, just type a name in of a player and select it, confirm and he gets sent to that team. Afterwards you can output to a text file and save it so you can enter it into your league later.

Big role of white paper.... draw in squares.... thumb tack to the wall.... MASSIVE 5' X25' draft board created....Good times.

Size matters, and if you are a Commish then prepare for massive complaining if guys in the back of the room keep having to get up to see the board. You can never go too large, which is probably why the custom ideas on this thread have proven popular. My league uses the jumbo free-standing boards from FJFantasy, works great. Plus the owners of the company respond quickly if you've got a custom query (e.g. Team owner name labels)

Good to hear! I'll continue supporting him because he does a helluva job.

oof, hope you weren't Team #3.
Hopefully you were Team #1
Please don't derail this any further, as the topic is about Draft Board Solutions, but if its killing you, my team is #7 (although you've got to follow the small stickers around the board due to Draft Pick trades.) My draft pretty much sucks, although I did win my Championship through a ton of trading and free agency. The team you loved at #1 went 2-10 with the 2nd lowest points in the league. He traded Foster after week 3 when he "only" put up 16-20 points instead of the first monster game. Although in his defense he had no WRs (Welker & Mason (both started a bit quiet) & Nothing) so kind of had to make a move. Remember Brady & CJ started out quiet too. End of year numbers do not always equate to consistency, which is necessary for wins, which is necessary in Head to Head if you want to make the playoffs.

Team #3? How about team #11 - R. Moss as his first pick, Grant as his first RB chosen and the only RB he selected through the first 8 rounds.

hire a stripper

put all the player stickers all over her nude body, good players in the good spots

when you draft you pull off that players sticker and put on the board

Good idea but you have it skewed; put the good players in the boring spots and the bad players over the good spots.
