What Do You See for Kenny Watson This Weekend... (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking about dropping Lendale to pick up Watson and play him @ KC this weekend. The Chiefs are only #24 vs. the run this season giving up 125.6 yrds/gm (although only 3 TD's). Conversely, they're #5 vs. the pass. Don't you think that Marvin gives them a healthy dose of rushes to go along with the usual dose of Palmer/CJ/Housh passing game? I don't see CIN having to play from behind in this game and they could try to control the clock with a healthy ground game.

The only question is if Watson gets the bulk of the carries. It looks doubtful that Rudi plays this weekend, but Dorsey may get more touches from what I've read here and elsewhere. Assuming Watson starts, what to you see as his final stats? I'm guessing 75/1 - which would be just fine as a bye week filler.

If Cedric Benson can run for over 100 yards against the Chiefs defense then anybody can.
 I can see 100 yards but a TD is an iffy proposition. Cinci likes to throw in the redzone (and who wouldn't with Housh and Chad) and KC at home will be tougher on the ground than on the road. Arrowhead is definitely an advantage for the Chiefs. I would say 10 pts is feasible and if he gets a TD your upside is 18-20...

I am struggling with this one. I am a Rudi owner and can grab Watson from the WW but the only spot I have left open is being taken by Selvin Young. Considering it will likely be 5 weeks before I get any use out of Young I am really tempted to let him go and sign Watson.

Why don't you trade Young quick to the Henry owner. Better than dropping him. Do a 2 fer 1 and that opens a roster spot for Watson. Although, if you have long ownership review process on trades (as we do - 2 days) you may miss the window for Watson.

That sucks, I'm not sure what I would do there. I know you were really hoping for better news about Rudi these last couple of days.I'm a Rudi owner as well. Last week was a really big week for FA's in our league. We had Young, Graham, Pittman, Keith and Watson all on the wire.We have a blind bid system done on Friday evenings, with a 50 maximum during the regular season. Once you're out of money, you're done. You get 20 dollars more to spend come payoff time.Anyway, I bid 8 dollars on Pittman and get him now only to lose him after 1 week. Young went for 22 dollars and Graham for like 16. Watson didn't get taken since he was on a bye and I think most thought Rudi would be back by week 6.So, in hindsight I could have just took Watson for 1 dollar but now, with nothing really on the waiver wire for those that need a guy and those knowing I have Rudy and would love to just take my backup just because I have to really make a high bid on him.Of course, in the back of my mind I'm thinking...what if nobody even puts in a serious bid and I end up bidding 20 on this guy and the next highest is like 5. (This is real money BTW you have to pay at the end of the year, not just fake points).

Just read that Rudi didn't practice again today (Thursday) I just dropped Buckhalter (since Westbrook practiced fully yesterday) to get Watson. Watson ran 9 times for 60 and caught a TD at Seattle then still had a respectable 4.2 avg. against the 5th ranked New England rushing defense. Considering K.C. is ranked near the bottom I think he should do better and agree with an earlier post that Cinci should be playing ahead and will use him lots later in the game to wind down the clock.

So is Watson a better start this week than Wright? I'm worried that Romeo might plug Jamal in there at the last minute.

Believe me I have looked into it but I can't figure out a good 2fer trade between our two teams.

Good question as Miami's run defense is swiss cheese. Even if Romeo plugs in Jamal, Wright may still have value in relief and especially as a third-down back if not as the possible starter.

Hope it works out for us. A nightmare would be that Westy actually doesn't play or can't make a go of it for long and C-buck blows up. Praying that doesn't happen even though I held onto Buckhalter in two other leagues.
