What happened to Burleson today? (1 Viewer)

I missed the game and had just traded for him,is he worth keeping?
He has a good game every other week. This was his off week.
I watched the entire game... He was blanketed pretty good. Had about 4-5 targets if I had to guess just no catches. He had a fade pass in the endzone that Hasselbeck overthrew and a couple passes just batted away.
Game plan. They wanted to take Burleson out of the game and succeeded. Hass still tried a few times into triple coverage which wasn't smart. One chance in the end zone but that's it. Housh and Branch open all day...

what happened to Burleson is the same thing that has happened to Miles Austin. Both guys are now most likely getting the #1 CB and both aren't good enough to be in that role.

With TJ Whosyourmomma going off like he did.. and his production the past few weeks stepping up bigtime.. I'd be surprised if that continues to be the case. Burlseson is a good possession guy.. but TJ is a stud. If you have to chose.. you let Burleson try and beat you and not let TJ run free.

Both guys are getting double coverage quite often with the safety over the top, too. Ask Steve Smith and Randy Moss what that's like.

This is actually the exact opposite of the reality in the Seattle passing game. Have you seen a Seattle game this year?TJ Housh is the epitome of "possession receiver", and always has been in Cincy. Burleson is a deep threat and big play guy.

Not only that, but seems the gameplan worked out just fine for Arizona :wolf:

No doubt. In my PPR league, he's been like clockwork. Except for last week, which was supposed to be his off week, he had a great game. Damn if he didn't make up for it this week, & cost me a loss by only 10pts.As for going forward, SEA has a pretty good passing schedule according to FBG. But if you're into trends, all of his big games (with the exception @ DAL) have come at home, & three of SEA's next four are on the road. Big game next week @MIN, or another downer? Tough to tell. But I'll continue to use him in my 3rd WR rotation with Driver & Ward. (AJ & Welker are 1a-1b).
