Falcons were selling out to stop him. Every time Brees passed the ball to the flats a DB came up to help out the LB. Big reason why Colston had such a monster game.Sproles played the decoy.

Yeah on a lot of the plays they had Dunta Robinson covering Sproles when he was coming out of the back field or split out as WR on 4 and 5 wide sets. Fact is ATL felt that Sproles was the largest threat that NO had to offer. They may have been right, taking him out of the game may have been one of the few things that kept them in it until Mike Smith could blow the game for them anyway. Glad my league counts return yardage cause he still came up with 6 points for me 
Either way, don't freak and expect this to be the norm, ATL completely sold out to stop Sproles most teams won't have the balls to do that as clearly Brees has enough weapons on the field with Graham, Colston, Sproles and the other WRs that can be good when needed.
