What have you been getting for LT in trades? (1 Viewer)

In my dynasty league today my team got a lot younger. I traded a boatload to get LT on my squad.I gave Portis,Lewis,Fitzgerald and Dunn and..I received LT,Turner,Coles, and a throw in player that I waived and picked up Morris to back up Morency. My new starting lineup this week is going to be..Palmer,Carson QB CIN Tomlinson,LaDainian RB SD Peterson,Adrian RB MIN Owens,Terrell WR DAL Johnson,Calvin WR DET Shockey,Jeremy UT NYG Gates,Antonio TE SD Vinatieri,Adam PK IND Patterson,Mike DL PHI Williams,Kevin DL MIN Ruud,Barrett LB TB McIntosh,Roger LB WAS Winfield,Antoine DB MIN Taylor,Sean DB WAS It was alot to give up to get LT on my team but I feel good about it.
Are you kidding??!! That's a steal.Keep in mind that Turner could easily be a top 8 RB next year when he's starting for the Packers! You made out like a bandit!
Like I said, I feel good about it. It was however tough to give up crazy depth at RB and a WR like Fitz. Ive essentially handed over both my RB2 and WR2 spots to Rookies.
I don't see how you see it that way. You raped the guy imo. Portis' value will be very close to Turner's dynasty value next year. Lewis is done after '08. Yeah, Fitz is a big piece of that but you just got back the best player in the league for all of those players. You killed the guy and it's not even close.

In a smaller dynasty league, I just turned down an offer from the LT owner. The offer:LTTurnerHoltfor RomoAddaiMaroneyEvans
This LT owner is hot to move him because he hurting at QB and RB2. He just offered:LT TurnerA supplemental pick that I could turn into Delhomme or Wynn after next week. For RomoAddaiMaroneyRomo seems to be the deal breaker for me. I'm trying to change Romo to E. Manning to feel alot better about it.

In my league (8 team redraft ppr) the trade was...

QB Matt Hasselbeck, SEA

RB LaDainian Tomlinson, SD

WR Donald Driver, GB

for

QB Tony Romo, DAL

RB Laurence Maroney, NE

WR Marvin Harrison, IND

The guy that got LT also has Peyton Manning.
That guy got cleaned out. How did that not get vetoed?
Because you only veto trades that are based on collusion.
Wrong.
Why is that wrong? You don't allow stupid trades to take place in your league? If there is some moron that is constantly making idiotic trades then you need to A) be the first to take advantage of him and B) not invite him back next year. This whole veto something to protect you from yourself is downright insulting. What if LT doesn't turn it around? Will the person who tried to get rid of him early in the year still look like an idiot? Some people think LT will rebound to perform like he did last season and others think they can sell him right now for more than he's worth. Who are you to impose YOUR values onto other owners?
:goodposting: Hear Hear! It is nobody's business to veto a trade that they don't think is a good trade. It's between the two owners making the trade. The ONLY time a trade should be vetoed is when it is demonstrably collusion - and this should be decided upon by a competent commissioner, not majority vote of the league.

I've seen plenty of 'unfair' trades vetoed that would have resulted in the so-called loser coming off far better. If someone is acting on a hunch, who are you to stop it? NOBODY can predict the future, so don't even try. Only collusion is vetoed (by the commish) in my league.
Depends on the league. That is the prevailing "wisdom" on these boards, but not every league has 100% competent owners.A couple of hideous trades can ruin a dynasty league.

How would a trade of LT and Shaun Alexander for Antwan Randle-El and Greg Jennings look in a standard scoring league? I don't care what the team circumstances are, that cannot be allowed. But, hey, maybe the LT owner had Lamont Jordan and Caddilac, but needed WRs... and LT + Alexander are over the hill.

ANY trade can be justified, however moronic the logic. And collusion CANNOT be proven unless somebody admits it.

It seems to me that the "no veto unless collusion" group is sitting on an extremely high horse.

To each his own, as long as all the owners are on the same page concerning the rules.
Very close to a perfect post. And good luck to the other side about ever proving collusion.

People seem to be seriously underestimating the Packers defense this year.
:rant:Derrick Ward: 15/90, 6.0 ypcBrian Westbrook: 20/85, 4.3 ypcNot exactly stout against the run. Not porous, but not great. I think LT is a better runner than these two. If he doesn't get over 100 rushing, I'll become a little concerned.
 I guess I can be concerned now. I didn't see the game (on the boat), did he look as bad as his stats indicate, or did the GB D throw everything at him and let Rivers try to win?

not me, but another owner traded lt prior to week 1. he was is bad shape and got fwp, westy, roy williams.
So, I take it the other guy is satisfied with LT, Samkan Gado, and Musa Smith for his corps of RBs???!!
:lmao:one guy has lt and lj, and the other guy has fwp, and westy.
The guy had Westbrook, Parker, and LJ???? :jawdrop:
I never post in these type of threads, but I happen to have those exact three RBs in my league, too. I picked up Parker before he busted, traded for Westbrook a couple of years ago when his value was a bit lower, and swung a monster trade for LJ a couple of years ago.

:bag: I really don't see how this is hard to believe, in dynasty leagues. None of those RBs went for much a few years ago. Hell, if I wasn't an idiot when I dropped Parker, I would have LT, Portis and FWP (and Ward!) in a 16 team league.
