What is James Starks' value going forward? (1 Viewer)

doubt it unless Grant gets hurt. Packers RB's aren't worth much more than a bye week filler currently. Splitting time & pass 1st offense doesn't leave much left for a RB..

So-so RB unless Grant gets hurt. Minimal TD upside since Rodgers is either throwing for all of them or running them in on his own. Starks is probably an OK RB3 now with bye weeks hitting. Overall, I'd probably rank him and Grant in the 35-40 range among RBs. Neither guy has much upside as long as both are healthy and as long as the Packers keep getting so many passing touchdowns.

Starks and Grant are basically fighting over 10 fantasy points a week in yardage. Rushing TDs are shared with Rodgers and Khun. Either would be a solid RB2 if the other went down but until then it's tough. So far the touch split is 60-40 in Starks favor but that's with Grant missing a game. If you are going to own one of them it's clearly Starks, but I wouldn't say he's a great buy-low.

Just moved starks and Shaub for Brady. Not sure if that gives you an idea on value but he was riding pine for me behind MJD, Forte and Lynch.

I watched GB put up about 50 points against Denver when Grant was out and Starks was featured.

Starks put up 10 fantasy points. Not terrible, but it's not an offense made for RB fantasy production...

I then sold Starks for Gronkowski in a non-TE league (gronk is a WR).

In my opinion, he's a #3 with potential to be a good #2 come later into the season... colder weather!

If your name isn't Rodgers, Jennings or Finley, they you are at best a high risk/flex play, IMO. Maybe Jordy Nelson and James Jones slip in your line up if you are thin at WR.

When the QB has defenses at their mercy, the RB will usually be an afterthought. Now that James Jones is phased in and Driver is phased out, this might become even worse. (I think the Driver phase-out is a bit of a smokescreen, I bet he scores very soon)

Breaking long runs or screen passes will be his best bet, otherwise the QB will typically want in on the scoring every chance they get. IMO I think these historically dominant offenses (see also Pats, Colts) would be better served to work their RB's in a bit more in the regular season.

Unless it's a blizzard, Rodgers doesn't stop putting up big numbers even when the weather is cold/snowy. It's a pass first offense.
