What is "Standard" Team Defense Scoring? (1 Viewer)

We don't count the points scored against the team defense. It's only Sacks, Fumble Recoveries, Interceptions and Ints/FRs taken back for a score.

When reviewing the Top 250 and the weekly rankings, I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

What is the "Standard Scoring" used in those rankings?

I think almost every team def league scores for safetys & pts allowed. mine scores for yards allowed also. Another league in doesnt score for yards allowed, but does score for blocked fgs, punts & xps. if ur trying to figure out how fbg does their rankings, ur best bet is to email whoever made the list & just ask...

It's the yards/points allowed that could remarkably turn the rankings on their head. E.g., Chicago- not a bad real defense, but not a lot of sacks, etc.

The silence is deafening.

I'm concluding there are a whole lot of us who are sure how this ranking works.

Bumpity bump.

for the record, the staff's emails are (last name)@footballguys.com. ie: dodds@footballguys.com. just ask someone what they factor into the scoring. also for the record, it depends how much they award for each category as well. 1 of my leagues, def TDs are worth 10 pts. 1 sacks are 1 pt, the other they are worth 2. 1 turnovers are 3 pts, the other they are 2...

With 200+ sharks swimming I'm hoping someone can answer here. The staff get a ton of emails I assume and I'd rather have a faster answer as I am trying to determine what to do with my waiver wire pickup. Thanks though.

The shark answer is to enter your scoring parameters and roster into the MyFBG section of the website and then look at the top 250 and weekly rankings from there so it is in your league's scoring system.

:) Oh Sharkiest of Sharks. Thanks. I've never really fooled with that. Just did and it does spit out some different information. Most importantly, I know it's not using completely irrelevant data.
