Has to be either the Cubs or the Cardinals gig. As already mentioned - one title and you are legendary in Chicago. As for the Cardinals, it is widely recognized as being one of the best baseball towns - Rams and Blues don't matter. It is all baseball, all the time.

and jean shorts.

I would want the Cubs gig. If you fail, oh well, it's the Cubs. But if you win, you would be a Golden God in Chicago. I could get use to eating for free for the rest of my life in the finest Chicago steakhouses.

Yeah, that's what I voted as well. Lower immediate expectations that the other managerial slots. The Globe article doesn't sound like the Boston clubhouse is the place to be.

For me it is easy Head Groundskeeper, Milwaukee Brewers. No pressure as long as it is green and the proper lengh you get to get paid to watch baseball with out having to make any hard choices.

That said would like a chance to be the guy/gal who to turns the Cubs into a winner. I think the job I would want the least is the Red Sox job. To go against the Yankees every year and if Baltimore could get a new owner there look out.

Cubs gig. With a good GM he should start giving you some quality pieces in the next couple years. And if you suck for a bit it can be blamed on the previous regime's mistakes and the fact it's the Cubs in general.

Have jean shorts taken over in St Louis? You know what would look good with jean shorts? Maybe a championship ring. I wonder if jean shorts will be available in Chicago when that happens...you know ...never.

Just bustin your balls. I actually love the city of Chicago - just can't love the Cubs due to my Cardinal fandom.
