There is a back story to this, but want to get unbiased opinion. 16 team idp dynasty. 50 man rosters. Start two CB's and two S's. What 2018 rookie pick would he be worth. Assume the pick will be a mid rounder.

Depends a little on the scoring systems, but I don't usually expect IDPs to start going in a 12-team draft until the 3rd, or even 4th rounds, outside of clear-cut elite talents, which isn't the class Jefferson is in.  That translates to mid 3rd in a 16-team league.

A proven performer in a good situation should be competitive with the upper tier of IDP rookies, so by the back half of round 3 I could see it.  Looking at my personal rookie board for my IDP league, I see prospects I'd consider trading for Jefferson popping up by the 40th pick or so...again round 3 in a 16-team league.

I like Arodin's answer, but I'm in some 16 team leagues with start 2S and I would say that unless you have flex spots and there is a scoring premium making it attractive to start more than two safeties I would not spend any significant capital on a safety. But it depends on your other starting position requirements and scoring setup, how desperate you are to get an S1 or high-end S2, and who else will typically be available to you in the mid/late rounds. If my roster was in a good place I wouldn't pay more than a five. If you have a strong team but a need at S, which is kind of difficult to have when you're only starting two, I would pay a future four.

Generally speaking DB's are not worth spending for.  You can find adequate replacements on the waiver wire in most leagues so it is better to keep the pick.  In a larger league you are describing there may be a situation where I would give up a pick for a Jefferson type but it wouldn't be much.  I voted a 5th rounder but could see doing a 4th if the DB was someone I was relatively high on.  Not sure Jefferson would fit that mold.
