What QB pairs are you targeting this year? (1 Viewer)

I made it a point of going QBBC this year.

I took Big Ben at 7.05 and Alex Smith at 12.08.   They have a terrific combined schedule.

I value QBs more than most and always want 3 and try to get one of the top 4 (AR, TB, CN, DW) in Round 5. If Cousins is still there Round 7 I will pick him. Late I like Derek Carr.

I ended up with Brees (4.12) and Rivers (9.12)
Love that pair.

I normally wait to mid/late rounds to pair middling-tier QBs with upside. But this year Brees fell to me at the right place in a 14-round draft, 14-team league (selected Brees at the very tail end of the 5th round).

I was salivating at the prospect of pairing him with Rivers, who was taken literally 2 picks before me at the very end of the 9th, so went Alex Smith instead.

I'm cool with that.

Luck is going insanely cheap, I believe he'll come back to be himself and a top tier QB by week 4.  I'll grab Alex Smith or Dalton later on to hedge a bit.  I recently joined a redraft league, turns out Goff and Carr both went undrafted so maybe that's the route instead of doubling up though.
Yep.  Drafted Luck and Alex Smith for my QB rotation and I’m quite happy with it.

Ryan/Rivers in the 13th and 14th

Mariota/T Taylor in the 16th and 18th

I've done 13 real drafts so far and I'm waiting longer and longer for QB's with every draft I do. I love Ryan or Rivers late, if not, give me a QB that can scramble like Mariota, Taylor, Smith, etc... the position is deeper than ever.

Drafted Rivers and Goff late. Pretty high on both as back-end QB1s. Not much separation in points from the top 2 or 3 QBs in my opinion.

I'm pretty much only interested in QBs with soft Septembers as the position is hilariously deep and I feel comfortable dropping just about anyone in a normal sized league. Stafford, Brees and Ben stuck out to me. To a lesser extent I liked Cousins. I think Bortles and Tannehill technically count but there's no need to go that deep.
Bingo.

I'm loving an initial combo of Big Ben and Rivers. In weeks 1 and 2, they each play KC's horrid D respectively.

At home.

Have two drafts coming up where I have two picks tight on the turn in rounds 10 and 11. May go back to back there.

Plan B would be Goff on the road in Oakland.

Yeah Goff was also an option, at home vs. CAR isn't a terrible week 2 match-up either.

I think a good pair could be Stafford and Garoppolo. You get Stafford vs. NYJ then Garoppolo vs. DET week 2, @ KC week 3 and then Stafford @ DAL week 4.

I also noticed Keenum has a really nice slate in September playing all of SEA, OAK and KC.

Last night in a FFPC draft I went with Stafford in round 13 at pick 13.11 and then Ben on the comeback at 14.02 and even then I was hesitant to roster a second QB but these drafts last 20 rounds so the waiver wire is usually barren.

I just know that if I'm staring at Andy Dalton thinking that he's very startable @ IND week 1 then the position must be comically deep.
