Brees vs Skelton (Roethlisberger - a tough decision to make considering the circumstances, not sure what I would have done)

I had always been a proponent of draft QBs late, but seeing the results of this thread shows the value of a highly drafted QB.

Rogers (Stafford on bench)

Brees

Brady

Tebow (was Rothlisberger, but he is now on the bench)

Team Tebow is won it all this week.

 
Not too many without a top 4 QB, or a top 6 at minimum.

That tells you that while a QB isn't going to win you a championship, having a solid one that you can count on week in week out maybe a necessary requirement.

Was Rodgers, Brady, Romo, Roethlisberger. Now Rodgers & Romo. Interesting to note--Rodgers in this league was picked at 1.01. I got Romo.

This thread kind of tells me its worth picking an elite QB in the 1st or 2d round, as Brees, Brady, and Rodgers are generally getting to the final four/final two.

The only elite QB that really failed was Vick. That's a 75% succes rate for elite QBs making the final four.

In contrast, picking RBs or WRs in the first few rounds and waiting on a second tier QBs seems less likely to work out, at least this year (Romo, Stafford = success; Rivers, Schaub, Ryan, Big Ben, Sanchez = fail).

You would have to analyze a lot more closely to draw a firm conclusion but my sense is that it's worth grabbing an elite QB earlier more than loading up on elite RBs and WRs.

Sorry, but I don't consider Michael Vick to be elite: history Pretty much agree with the others, and going into the final this week with Romo against Rodgers.
 
League 1: Sanchez vs Tebow (I lost in semi's to Sanchez owner by 13pts after being out scored 13TDs to 6 in our 2 week matchup)

League 2: Stafford/Tebow (me) vs Brady / Sanchez

League 3: Grossman (me) vs Big Ben, Romo vs Flacco (goes to week 17)

well I made a "poll" like someone suggested but it only allows 15 choices

this thread is a good idea but kind of useless since you want to see stats from it and can't unless someone sits here for an hour adding up each response

Start 2 QB league:

Championship is, Matt Ryan and Drew Brees vs. Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert. Crazy, I know. 2 rookies taking a fantasy team to the title. The rest of his team is pretty stacked though, and wildly consistent.

 
Championship game

Newton and Ryan vs. Fitzpatrick (Cutler injured)

3rd Place Game

Manning and Flacco (me) vs. Stafford (Orlovsky on bench but doesnt play him)

Can play 2 QB's...

Create a poll with the top 14 scoring QBs, as well as an "Other" selectionTop 14 in ESPN standard scoringRodgers, Brees, Newton, Brady, Stafford, Romo, Manning, Ryan, Rivers, Sanchez, Roethlisberger, Fitzpatrick, Vick, Tebow
