What to think of the Dolphins Backfield (1 Viewer)

Just a couple weeks from most fantasy playoffs, what is to be expected of the dolphins running backs reggie bush and daniel thomas? Will the dolphins soon realize they aren't going anywhere and give the reins to thomas since he is finally healthy? I would have to think so.

The Dolphins just won their first two games, and played the Giants tough week 8. Why would they take the ball from Reggie now? I think they'll play the hot hand and try to win some ball games.

I really hope so b/c I just traded reggie bush and I'm a little annoyed, he did have 17 carries to reggie's 14 so that's encouraging

Don't read too much into the numbers. It was almost all in garbage time, when the Dolphins had built up a lead.

I think Thomas has been nursing his injuries but I expect to see a lot more of him over the next month.
MOP, I know you're a homer, what makes you think this? Thomas was basically a decoy last week against KC, having only a few garbage time carries. He only really got carries in garbage time today. His production and yards per carry is abysmal over the past 2 weeks. With Miami finally clicking and winning, and Bush doing well, and Thomas being meh, why should we expect to see more of him going forward?

I still feel like Thomas is the much more talented back, though I feel like I'm going down with a sinking ship at this point. Haven't watched the games but I'm hoping Thomas is still limited with the hammy. With the exception of Ray Rice, Thomas did by far the most damage to the highly rated Texans run defense, and that includes DMC, MJD, Mendy, CJ2K. While Bush is playing well right now, I think Miami would be smart to realize he's not a workhorse back while Thomas has the potential to be one. And then there's the fact that Bush hasn't played in 16 games since his rookie season and Thomas could get the majority of the work that way as well.

I would like to see him practice in full taking 1st team reps for a week before we say he stinks. He was nursing an injury coming into the KC game, not sure he is 100% yet and if Miami runs Bush into the middle of the line...let me rephrase that...the more Miami runs Reggie Bush up the middle the closer Thomas owners are to seeing him get a lot more action. Miami is 2-7 but they start facing tougher teams so maybe they want to get Thomas more reps once the happiness of these wins wear off. I really don't see Bush holding up the rest of the way, he already was in and out of the line up earlier this year. He was 14 for 47 on the ground, how good was he really? 20+ on a TD run to boot..let's be real here.

Agree with the sentiments that Thomas will see more action. I think the Dolphins had no reason to rush him back into action, and have been careful with him. But as he gets to 100%, I just don't think there is any reason not to use him more. They know what they have in Thomas -- when he was healthy early in the season, there was no question he could carry the load as a primary back.

Miami coaches are dead men walking, so I suspect they will go out swinging and not much care about getting any one carries unless they give the team the best chance to win.
