What will it take to Acquire Hurts & ASB? (1 Viewer)

12 team, 2 keeper .5 ppr league where we start 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, 3 Flex (Rb/WR/TE), 1K and 1D. I sit at 5-3 atop my division and am looking at the team in dead last in points and wins who holds Hurts and ASB but not much else. My Roster (keeper rounds in 2025 in parentheses):

QB - Burrow (5), Tua (15), Wilson (15)
RB - Jacobs (1), Harris (4), C Brown (15), Dowdle (15)
WR - AJ Brown (1), Hill (9), London (15), Aiyuk (2 and in IR spot), X Worthy (6)
TE - Kincaid (3)
K - Aubrey, Reichard
D - Broncos, Chiefs

As I stand right now, I have depth at all spots other than TE. My depth is low at RB but that was by design. Hurts and ASB would be rounds 1 and 2 so no value in terms of next year. This owner also holds Warren so Harris might be attractive.

Should I stand pat or go after Hurts and ASB? What would it take besides Burrow? I can trade future draft picks as part of the trade (ie send a 5th for his 6th).

I would offer Burrow and Worthy
You could offer that but it likely isn't close. At least it wouldn't be for me.

What is the typical dynamic in this league with regards to giving up on a season while only having two keeper slots? By that I mean, what is really in it for him with regards to giving up this season to have two keepers next year.

Who is that team likely to keep and would Burrow (5) and Worthy (6) be upgrades? With that few keepers there isn't really a big future aspect and depending on who he has there may not be any upgrade for him to move those pieces.

I would be looking at what two keeper pieces make sense for him as an upgrade and try and attack that. If he isn't playing for this year than Harris likely has no additional value to him as a Warren owner. He isn't going to keep both for next year (at least that wouldn't make sense to me).

Off the top of my head it would likely take Burrow and London due to their freeze rounds to get Hurts and ARSB. I assume you would be keeping Hill (at 9th round value) and then one of your 1st round players in Brown or ARSB so you can afford to lose London as a freeze.

In your situation I wouldn’t worry about the player as much Id look at the keeper rounds. You said his team is toast so help his draft next year to get your players.
