It’s still the last result on the first page… and there’s two “official” James Conner threads that appear above it.In the upper right of the browser there is a Spyglass icon.
Clicking on that brings up a search box.
Select "This Forum" in the drop-down
If you want to search for multiple connected words, surround them with double quotes.
For example "James Conner"

And the only reason I know the official one is the official one, is because I’ve been around a while and know the naming system for official player threads around these parts.
Joined in 2007. Crazy to not use the search function.I wonder if there might be a dedicated thread for him.
In all fairness the search function here is absolutely horrible. I've lurked here and been a footballguy's subscriber for at least 20 years (when I realized that most of my leaguemates were using the huddle like I had been).
Simply type in a player's name to search for their official thread. It is not intuitive at all and often brings up absolutely nothing if you type a correctly spelled name in the search titles only box
Some of you come off a bit elitist and dare I say quite prickish when this happens.
You just might be costing yourself valuable insights and contributions due to your standoffish attitudes.
Try being helpful and nice.
I 100% agree that the search function needs a lot of work.
If this was a one off I'd agree with you. But there have been several threads started like this and the intent is to give a gentle ribbing to hint that they're not really new thread worthy. In all fairness the search function here is absolutely horrible. You've heard of him. Check out his smart bit of self promotion. Good move on his part. Hail to Pitt! https://www.theplayerstribune.com/james-conner-pitt-letter-to-nfl-gms/ Good guy and great football player.forums.footballguys.com
Here you go.
People are cracking jokes… but I agree with you that the search function on this site is not great. I’ve brought it up before.
Search “James Conner” in thread titles only and it’s the last result down the page and almost on page 2.
Happens often for me when looking for the official players threads. And something that always bothers me, but not that big of deal so I just live with it.
One person's gentle ribbing (ok several people's) can certainly be off putting to new comers. This is precisely why I have contributed very little to these boards. Just tppd.fpr.thought.If this was a one off I'd agree with you. Threads with titles like these just didn't need their own Shark Pool thread:
What's happening with Cooper? Only one target so far?
Is Mooney playing today?
What the hell is that? (Okay, this was in the FFA)
What happened with Mooney?
What's happening with James Conner?
This thread has SOME info.So can anybody tell me what's going on with James Conner?![]()
The newcomer joined in 2007. But I take your point more broadly.I looked and couldn't find it.

"It's always been this way" is not a valid argument for the search function to be so outdated and confusing.
I'm not trying to stir the pot. Just an observation from a long time foorballguy that almost never posts in the shark pool although I spend countless hours here.
Ah. I see the problem…the foorballguys message board is one door over.Just an observation from a long time foorballguy that almost never posts in the shark pool although I spend countless hours here.
It's weird what sticks out to you from a post when you're sitting in your mom's basement, literally not figuratively, after midnight, having trouble falling asleep and for some reason watching Pacific Rim: Uprising...on TBS no less but...In the upper right of the browser there is a Spyglass icon.
Clicking on that brings up a search box.

Alternatively you could put James Conner in the search and select the "Search Titles Only" checkbox.

Wouldn't it be "Quotes" or "single quote"? Maybe "quotation marks" would be appropriate, maybe. But I don't think you would say "double quotation marks". "Double quotes" makes me think ""double quotes"".
At any rate, that's where I'm at ATM.
Insomnia-ish is awesome.
And one more door over from that is the foosball thread. But my momma says it’s for THE DEVIL!!!Ah. I see the problem…the foorballguys message board is one door over.Just an observation from a long time foorballguy that almost never posts in the shark pool although I spend countless hours here.
Sorry. Couldn’t resist adding my usual level of stupidity to a thread.
But I agree with your sentiment entirely. It takes as many typed characters to HELP someone as it does to disparage them. I try to lean in the HELP direction as much as possible.
I assure you, I am much sorrier.No. And I'm sorry you watched Pacific Rim: Uprising. It's weird what sticks out to you from a post when you're sitting in your mom's basement, literally not figuratively, after midnight, having trouble falling asleep and for some reason watching Pacific Rim: Uprising...on TBS no less but...In the upper right of the browser there is a Spyglass icon.

I have trouble sleeping a lot. Not to the point of diagnosed insomnia but it can be bad. But… just here to say I’ve tried a lot of OTC things and not many of them worked.
My wife shoved some Alo Sleep Spray into my stocking this year. And the past few nights I’ve slept pretty well with it spraying it on my feet and hands. Sounds dumb… and I was a big skeptic, but it seems to work well.
