What's on your draft day cheatsheet (1 Viewer)

Broken down by position and then player

Players into Tiers, ADP, Bye and Notes.
With players highlighted that I have a higher projected value than ADP would illustrate to keep my eye on.

I have my own personal rankings/projections + ADP rankings/projections + draft trends of said league (if any are there).

Rest are just facts I keep in my head.

If you have to use too many numbers and stats to draft correctly, you should concentrate more on watching and understanding football and less on fantasy football stats IMO.

I am a huge statistician in debate of FF/NFL topics, but in fantasy drafting, that really just comes down to what you know, not what you can look up.

If you see a list of 10 players, you should know which one presents the best value for your fantasy team.

If its Dynasty I have Age as well.

For my personal sleepers I use asteriks next to thier name.

For Redraft I usually just take ANY cheatsheet I can print off and just sift thorugh and pick my players.

i don't use a draft sheet. i just go in with my beverage and snacks.

it typically psyches everyone out.

:nerd:
I sit next to the person who drafts ahead of me and when it is their turn I sit and stare at them until they make their pick. If they are taking too long, while they are delving into their notes, I blast an air horn right next to their ear.If someone gets pissed, I pull out my 9 mill.

Now THAT psyches people out.

I add SOS by position.
On a serious note, I used to add the player's last four games - to see how they might benefit me down the stretch. It's how I ended up with MFaulk from the 4-hole a few years ago, and his late season heroics vaulted me to a super bowl victory.

That's not a bad idea. Also perhaps, comparing 3-game averages against the Week 14-16 opponents for '06.

Sounds like a shark move of over-preparedness, but worth looking at if you're trying to find more security stats.

dude that is so funny.

:lmao: at people worrying about week 14 before the season.

that is so far down the list of things to worry about on draft day.
when I have two players of comparable desirability/value, their ease of schedule down the stretch is a MAJOR consideration - more of a consideration than whether or not the player shares a bye week with another top player.I don't bother using this for my non-skill or non-starter players, but schedule down the stretch is most definitely a viable factor in the decision making process when all else is even between two players.

Seems like a good strat. However, it's hard to argue that everything else would be equal for any two players. Could you cite a few examples? As was said a little earlier, I think you should be able to look at a list of 10 players and know which one represents the best value for your team.

SoS, as has been pointed out many times, is more of a crapshoot than anyone who relies on it heavily thinks.

I'll second that. SoS is used three different times by the time my final projections are done. The FF playoff weeks are weighed much heavier than the other two adjustments. Two answer the question Dominator fully tweaked per my specifications is my cheatsheet now.

Pos/Player/Projected Points/ADP/Bye

Anything else?

That's about right. I usually tape a team bye week schedule on the lower right corner because in the heat of battle a very small number denoting the bye week next to the player is often hard to read. I know the players I'm interested in and the week I'm looking for a bump so teh team schedule comes in handy.

many things, dynasty auciton, I track other teams needs, we are penalized for playing BYE week players, so you keep your eyes open for oppurtunity, cover your bye week, paint someone into a bye week...
