my own personal opinion is if the bengals do not seriously rethink their talent above all else approach in the draft for 2007 the Bengals are going to start taking some serious flak from around the league. This is already the biggest collection of turd brains in the league. Frostee Rucker is basically a serial rapist. I know it's football and these guys aren't all angels but come on, that makes me sick. The NFL is far to image conscious to permit one of their teams from becoming an all out public relations disaster. These guys are so close to the edge as it is that a drunk driving accident kills someone and Goodell books a non stop flight to Cincinatti and starts kicking serious #### all over the city. The NFL will not stand for that and I imagine they already have had internal questions about the stability of the franchise. Lewis is basically to the point now where HE HAS TO do something, still, Henry being deactivated wasn't viewed as an obvious no brainer choice from him. Shame on him man. These guys are thugs, plain and simple. They need to cut some of their bad apples for the good of the team but that's just me talking. I'd cut Frostee right now. He's very likely to be in prison soon on rape or sexual assault charges anyways. I saw a TV special on Frostee that documented his trail of sexual misconduct, assault and rape. Is this guy guilty of rape? Yes he is. It hasn't caught up with him because women are very, very reluctant to come out in public in these matters. They must have interviwed a half dozen girls in this story and it made me want to shoot the guy. The guy is a sexual predator and needs to be in jail, not getting a ridiculous million dollar salary from the NFL.

So is Henry likely to be suspended by the team? I don't know if they'll suspend him but the Bengals are at the point now where they better if they know what's good for them. The story on this team is quickly changing from football to a crime epidemic and how competition fosters immorality. The Cincinatti Bengals are on the verge of becoming the Enron of the NFL. It's a scandal ladies and gents. :X :bag: if you're a Cincy fan. Really sucks to with a couple bright stories like Carson Palmer and Rudi Johnson. I'll tell you what, if these guys weren't as good as they are in the Win-Loss column there's no way half of this would have been ignored or tolerated.

BTW, the Titans haven't been far behind, even before this weekend (Haynesworth maming Gurode.) In all actuality, Haynesworth should be prosecuted for that. The commish should pressure Gurode to press charges. Police have already gotten involved. IMO, the league needs to set a precedent AND MAKE THIS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE.

I agree that Haynesworth should be prosecuted, but not to make an example. What he did was not in the course of the play. It wasn't just the game getting out of hand, it was an attack with intent to injure. I think you can make a case that its aggravated assault, a felony.

The thing about it is you so rarely see sports crimes be dealt with by the law. What actually happened to that hockey guy who broke a guy's neck a coupe years ago? He was suspended for the season basically but did he get any kind of criminal punishment? If he did, it was probably just probation. If you prosecute athletes it sends the message of sportsmanship. football is a brutal game but it is a game right? You have to draw a line. That was just silly it was so nasty (haynesworth). He could have blinded the guy.

I think the Bengals will make an example of someone, I just don't think it will be Henry. They have the luxury of having a more pronounced scapegoat right now in Thurman. AND they need Henry more than Thurman right now. My guess is that there will be a lot of furrowed brows and Thruman will get suspended making it look like they are cracking down and Henry will quietly go back to work on the overmatched DBs in the AFC.

I drafted Henry (#133) and am very happy so far. High reward/high risk, as advertised.

So far Henry's problems have been off field and I suspect there aren't many NFL coaches who wouldn't use a guy that can help them win. In fact, I'm hard pressed to think of a case where an NFL coach cut/deactivated a guy who wasn't causing problems WITH THE TEAM. And so far everyone seems to be saying the same thing -- "I've never had a football problem with Chris."

But Lewis's comments on Sunday were a shot across the bow, and I think Henry's on a very short rope. Another incident and he's probably gone.

So for now I'm hanging onto him. I think he'll do either 1 or 4 game suspension later this year, but that he'll actually keep himself together until the season ends. Then all bets are off again.

btw...if he were to get cut outright there'd be a dozen NFL teams trying to sign him off waivers the next day. I happen to think he's a #1/#2 NFL receiver and would have value on most teams. YMMV

I'm not sure about Henry's status, but this guy has got to get his head on straight. I can't believe that he is still pulling this #### after all that he's been through this year. You'd think that he'd wake up and realize he's going to burn his big opportunity. But he must be addicted to the sauce/weed/crank or whatever the hell the poison of the week is and the lifestyle that goes with it. It's amazing that he can go out there and screw around and can still produce on Sundays.

Sometimes I wish I could "body-snatch" one of these players and take over for them and enjoy the incredible opportunity that they've been given.

There doesn't seem to be much hope for this guy though...

We've been focusing on the whether or not the suspension is coming...I'm more worried that this guy is going to hurt himself or someone else with his addictions.
