They probably watched the game like everyone else. What more do you want?If Deuce active, sitting on the sidelines for 60 minutes doesn't convince you, who knows what will.
Thomas is definitely the better RB and FF option than Duece right now. Duece is too fragile. DM will get playing time IMO, however I would grab PT if I had the choice.

Thanks for the worthy contribution and thanks for asking To answer your question, ideally I'd like one of those posts we occasionally get here where someone either has a source or just hears stuff locally that doesn't really get picked up by fantasy sites (it still happens more than people think).
Deuce sitting the first game when he's looked rusty doesn't surprise me. Pierre Thomas looking decent when he gets a chance doesn't surprise me. However, in leagues where roster space is limited there's a big difference between Thomas getting to take over the Deuce role from years past vs. sharing time with Stecker & Deuce when/if he gets his legs back.
Anyhoo, I see there's a another thread covering similar ground here.
From what I've heard from some NO homers, Thomas isn't a natural bruiser, between-the-tackles runner like Deuce is, although they are trying to shape him that way (he's about the same build as Deuce, if not a bit bigger). To be a good team, NO need a bruiser to complement Bush, not someone with the same style. Thomas will play so long as Deuce is either hurt or ineffective. But Deuce missing week 1 just sounds like they are being careful with him. Nothing more.
Last time I checked McAllister was returning form an ACL injury. Bottom line is while he's well enough to suit up, he's really not 100% back. They're not going to risk him injuring it again if they don't need to.
