What's the point of "fresh" if you lose the game? Last I checked the Vikes beat the Bears today. At one point, it was well into the 2nd half and it was tied 14-14. At that point AP, had touched the ball only twice (for -2 yards, at that same time Chester only had 3 carries for 8 yards in the 2nd half). On his 3rd touch, he ran it in from 71 yds out. He then ran it in from 35 yds out not long after. Then Childress had obviously done the right thing by tiring the opposition D down with Chester before unleashing a fresh ADP on them. And they still almost lost. But they didn't lose - they won away from home in fact. There's keeping your player fresh and there's winning games. They did both today. When Minn starts blowing out team, then you keep him fresh. Or you could run him into the ground as a rookie and he can become the next Caddy. Otherwise, you put him on the field to win the game and give him a breather with Taylor when you need it. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Also doesn't take a genius to figure out Peterson was therefore making some of those awesome runs against a tiring D. I honestly wonder if Childress realizes what he has on his team. I'm not saying that many of Childress's decisions shouldn't be questioned, but what he's being paid to coach isn't fantasy. They won the game and got 224 yards from a star rookie back. I'd say that's a fairly decent job.
